August - one of the strong synonyms for summer, without a doubt, although already on the way to its departure... I know, there are places where summer lives year-round, so my statement that summer can have a journey makes no sense. But we humans can still travel, and we have our departures. Especially in this month, when many have annual vacations and decide to go on a trip with family or friends.
Well, yesterday we saw for ourselves how many young people from Belgrade decided to spend part of their summer in Alicante. We know this firsthand, because we also went to the Nikola Tesla International Airport in Belgrade yesterday afternoon. We did not share the fate of 99% of passengers who had this flight to their summer vacation. Our flight was a trip home to Spain. Our visit to our parents this time was short, but that doesn't mean that it can't be repeated sometime soon, now that we have this relatively good travel option.

We know that other passengers went on a tourist visit to Spain because some of them asked my husband if we were going there for the first time, like them, because they had heard of Alicante for the first time and wanted to use this airline to get to this destination for their summer vacation. The family sitting in front of me was also going to visit Alicante for the first time, and next to me was a couple who were also reading information about what to visit when they arrived on the Iberian Peninsula.

Now you see why I started this post by saying that August is synonymous with summer and departures! 😆

So, let me ask you - where are you planning to travel this August and will it be your summer vacation trip? Does your trip require flying, or do you prefer a different mode of travel - car, train, bus, motorcycle, bicycle? If you want, you can share your summer trip in this community Summer Vibes, regardless of the destination (it doesn't have to be somewhere far at all) and the means of transportation you use.
Since our trip involved flying, we spent part of our afternoon at the airport waiting for our flight (about two hours). When we arrived, we went through passport and security control. Once on the terminal, we found some free seats. My husband went to buy water and take a little walk, then my son went to explore a bit around, and then it was my turn to see around.

This airport is not so big, and there are parts that are under construction. Still, there were some nice shops, a bakery to buy bread or pastry (хлеб is bread and кифле are rolls), a coffee shop, a bookstore and of course, a duty-free shop.

Although our flight was delayed just a little bit, we arrived home quite late at night. Everything was fine, despite a little scare that may seem small now, but it left me quite restless; just this morning, I calmed down when I found out that the thing I thought I had lost was not lost or stolen.

Travels always involve little mishaps, but also lots of beautiful moments. So, would you like to share your journey full of summer vibes with us? I would definitely love to read them. 😇
