I hoped that I would be able to do more than what I did in July. I was on holidays for half of the month and I planned to write a couple of posts from abroad. Unfortunately, the internet connection was so bad that I gave up creating posts on holidays and I simply relaxed. The result is that I only created 5 posts in July, which is one of the lowest amount of posts ever I believe. I Hope I will do better in August. When it comes to my goals, the quantity of created posts definitely matters and making few of them doesn't really help to close the gap. I have been behind my goals for most of the year and the gap is widening...
I powered up 1000 Hive for the 8th month in a row
I have this great habit of trying to power up 1000 Hive at the beginning of each month. I'm very happy that I managed to do it for the 8th time in a row. Since I traveled home on 1st of August, I powered up on the 31st of July. So I won't get one of these power bees from the HPUD challenge but I don't care that much...
So far, 213 days have past since I've set my goals. This means that 58.3% of the current year are behind us. To evaluate my progress, this represents my benchmark. I should therefore have reached the same percentage of my goals so far.

Last month I was 2.4% behind for HP and now I'm 3.1% behind. Keeping in mind that I hardly created any posts, I'm not totally unhappy with that. This means that if I can create 8 or 9 posts this month, I will probably close down this gap.
It doesn't really look the same for HBD. I was 13% behind benchmark last month and now I'm 18% behind. Most of my income comes from interests. Even if I increase the number of posts that I create, it will be pretty difficult to get close to the benchmark.
Over 50'000 Hive Power
On the positive side, I have collected more than 50'000 Hive Power and I'm only 5K away from becoming and Orca. I think that I should reach this status before the end of the year.
