This extraordinary place is Aboriginal women's land and there are some truly amazing and strong women living in harmony with the heat, humidity, Snakes, Crocs, insects and all of the other beautiful beings up there. Within seconds of entering this mysterious space, magical things happen.

Thornton's Peak
With my back to the beach,
Looking west,
I see Thornton's Peak,
Stretching her arms and puffing out her chest,
Her majestic head reaches
High into the sky,
Making me want to try,
To climb her tonight,
Enchanting, entrancing, intriguing,
protecting, enthralling, preening,
She sits beside us,
Smiling, Welcoming, Warming,
In the early morning sun,
Beaming her magical, maternal aura,
Over the land, to the sea,
To be seen and appreciated by me,
And everyone else,
Who can feel the wealth,
Of the Mother mountains,
Fountains,
of good health.
