Hello and welcome to my page hiveans. I'm @daniky, and this is day 331 of my entry to #IAmAliveChallenge, an initiative by Eric Gustafsson, @flaxz.
Days come and goes and we still keep moving. No life is lost amongst us, and we keep thriving despite the tough situation of the country. One thing i've always known for sure is that where there's life, hope is certain. All in all, I'm grateful to the Almighty for the gift of life and sustaining me through this moment.
Some people have wealth but no good health, some have food but can not eat while some can eat but there's no food. Nothing can be compared to one having peace of mind. When a man sleeps, he is not aware of his physical environment, and within the next couple of hours, he wakes up again to see the light of the next day, while some people who slept same moment never had the privilege of waking up. This is to show the nature of man. Being alive is not by magic, nor is it by the fact that we're in a better state of health, but all these are by the grace of God Almighty.
A few weeks ago, i attended a burial ceremony of the father of a closed mentor, and there i came to realise the vanity of life. I was told the man was full of life when he suddenly felt ill and was rushed to a nearby hospital for intensive health care. The medical practitioners exercised all effort within their capacity to revive him at coma, but effort proved to no avail, so he suddenly gave up the ghost. My senior friend never imagined he could lose his Dad so soon, but it was very unfortunate. Had it he had the capacity to revive him back, then he should have done it, but he losed his Dad. I felt a very deep remorse for him when he narrated his ordeal. I and other friends that were close to him did all it takes to comsole him and his family. I thought of it : "What a life" we live in.
During the wake keep of his decease father, people testified of the good deeds of his late father while he was alive. I was motivated by the level of positive impacts he made in people's lives while he was still a live. Many people he helped testified greatly about his awesome contributions to their success. It was also said that he was a peace maker, a man of probity, honesty, accountability, and transparency. He was also reserved, down to earth, and was an activist to highlight a few about him. This shows that when a man dies, his works on earth speak on his behalf, be it good or bad.
I learnt great lessons from the testimonies of people made at the wake keeping service. Life only exists for a moment, so as we live, let's make an impact in the lives of others as our deeds will be our testament when we depart this world we are. So, let's live life to its fullest and make positive impacts in the lives of others. We live for others as they live for us well well. This is an indication that humans are dependent beings.
