I am alive and blessed. I've had a pretty productive day. I've been helping my friend get back into the groove of roofing. It's been a challenge for him because of the season. Yet things are looking up.
I make no claims to being a roofer myself. I'm simply there to help. The work is intense, and the years experience he's accumulated is evident.
Though I haven't been up the ladder yet, I've done my best to be as useful as I can.
The first chimney repair we did was on a snowy slope, and my experience only qualified me to bring tools, help with clean up, and holding of the ladder.
The temperatures have been in the thirties these last few days, and despite my first days experience. I still managed to forget to wear double socks.
It's been a good experience for me. I'm glad that I have the freedom to choose to go on these jobs
I look forward to seeing how this year plays out. :)
