The summer brings blooms to the yard.
This flowering plant's name is "Caesalpinia pulcherrima". Other names it is know by are the Pride of Barbados and the Peacock flower.
My Entire Life Has Been The Path Less Traveled
The entire extent of my almost 53 years on earth could be summed up with the phrase 'the path less traveled', and that holds true for every domain of my life. Feeling and being so different from the vast majority of people that I knew caused me a lot of distress and pain as a child, because I desperately wanted to fit in with those around me. Although I have shared beautiful connections and relationships with people at different times in my life, for the most part it's been quite a lonely path that I've walked.

But here, I just want to go deeper into how music, in general, touches the soul and brings healing. Sometimes we focus too much on winning or contests, but this is something I truly feel and wanted to share.

I literally ran out the heat this morning by getting up early and squeezing in my jog before the sun turned everything into a furnace. It felt good to move while the air was still fresh, knowing the temperature would be unbearable just a few hours later. After the run, I stopped by the garden center and picked up some new seedlings I’ve been meaning to plant. Bringing them home felt like a nice reward for getting out of bed early and sticking to my routine. It’s always satisfying to start the day with both exercise and something tangible to look forward to, like tending to the garden later.
