Today is International DNA Day, in commemoration of the fact that on April 25, 1953, scientists James Watson (American) and Francis Crick (British) announced in the scientific magazine "Nature" the discovery of the structure of DNA, the chain of nitrogenous bases that is considered the key to the secret of life as we know it. Its discovery opened a whole new field of research, work and possible new technologies to decipher DNA and achieve technological products capable of manipulating it in any way desired.
Today's anniversaries were full of interesting things, but I decided on just one, and in recent days I have been unable to decide on just one, and I have been publishing my blog with various topics of the day, it is not that it is bad, but I think it's necessary to vary things a bit.
My day has not been as planned, but I will not complain, because it has turned out to be much calmer, I had planned to go out to do a couple of things, but before leaving in the morning I checked, the electricity had returned and there was a little signal to connect to the Internet, so I wanted to check how things were, well, good thing I checked. It turns out that on the road where I have to go to get to the city an armed confrontation was taking place, between criminal gangs, using automatic weapons, assault rifles and other similar things, it would have been dangerous, but it is not something that surprises me much On this side of the world those things happen and one gets used to the fact that this is the reality in which one is standing. In addition, the Metro or subway once again had a fire or something similar, in short, something new exploded today, and they vacated part of the transportation system, the surface carriers, who do not help much in these cases, took advantage of it to collect surcharges of passage simply "because I feel like it", it is a simple state of disaster where it seems that everyone inside shouts "every man for himself".
Seriously, I'm not complaining much, after all, I stayed home, I know that tomorrow if it is very likely that I will have to go out, it may be better not to check the news and accept the unpleasant surprise when I am already on the street, because there is not a day when something serious does not happen in #Venezuela. By the way, I forgot to point out that we are on day 773 since the start of the #quarantine due to the #covid19 #pandemic, already on the way to a triplet number.

Hoy es el Día Internacional del ADN, en conmemoración de que el 25 de abril de 1953, los científicos James Watson (estadounidense) y Francis Crick (británico) anuncian en la revista científica "Nature" el descubrimiento de la estructura del ADN, la cadena de bases nitrogenadas que se considera la llave del secreto de la vida tal como la conocemos. Su descubrimiento abrió todo un nuevo campo de investigación, trabajo y posibles nuevas tecnologías para lograr descifrar el ADN y lograr productos tecnológicos capaces de manipularlo de la manera que se desee.
Las efemérides de hoy estaban bástate llenas de cosas interesantes, pero me decidí por una sola, ya en estos últimos días he estado sin poder decidirme por una sola y he estado publicando mi bitácora con diversos temas del día, no es que sea malo, pero creo necesario variar las cosas un poco.
Mi día no ha sido como planifiqué, pero no me quejaré, porque ha resultado ser mucho más tranquilo, tenía pensado salir a hacer un par de cosas, pero antes de salir en la mañana revisé, había regresado la electricidad y había un poco de señal para conectarse a Internet, así que quise comprobar que tal estaban las cosas, bueno, menos mal que revisé. Resulta que en la carretera por donde debo ir para llegar a la ciudad se estaba produciendo un enfrentamiento armado, entre bandas de delincuentes, usando armamento automático, rifles de asalto y otras cosas parecidas, hubiera sido peligroso, pero no es algo que me extrañe mucho, por este lado del mundo esas cosas suceden y uno se acostumbra que así es la realidad en la que uno está parado. Además, el Metro o subterráneo volvió a tener un conato de incendio o algo parecido, en fin que explotó algo nuevo hoy y desocuparon parte del sistema de trasporte, los trasportistas superficiales, que no ayudan mucho en estos casos, se aprovecharon para cobrar recargos de pasaje simplemente "porque me da la gana", es un simple estado de desastre en donde parece que cada quien grita por dentro "sálvese quien pueda".
En serio que no me quejo mucho, después de todo, me quedé en casa, sé que mañana si es muy probable que tenga que salir, puede que sea preferible no revisar las noticias y aceptar la sorpresa desagradable cuando ya esté en la calle, porque no hay día en que en #Venezuela no suceda alguna cosa seria. Por cierto, olvidaba señalar que estamos en el día 773 desde el inicio de la #cuarentena por la #pandemia de #covid19, ya en camino a un número triplete.
Bien, debo dejar la bitácora hasta acá, la electricidad parece estar ya parpadeando y si no publico es posible que no lo logre antes de que me corten de nuevo el servicio. Te deseo que estés bien y que nos podamos leer en otra oportunidad.
