I haven't been posting as much lately because my brain is pretty much in the "off" position. Brain fog means I don't have any ideas or things to say, I'm just puttering around trying to get things done on autopilot. But I'm alive, so I thought I would post in the Alive Tribe for the first time. :)
It has warmed up after being cold and snowy for a few days, so I was mostly home in the cold. I have been helping my neighbor declutter here and there, and working on my own apartment a bit too. The other day I finally started to tackle the "to be filed" pile, which had been accumulating for way too long.
This is what it looks like when I file; I sit on the floor and make piles for each folder and then add them to the filling cabinet after. I have done about 2/3 of the file pile, but I need to weed out the filling cabinet now before I finish - there is no more room, lol.
I finally swept underneath the refrigerator for the first time since I moved into this apartment, so it's been over a year of dust accumulating under there. I briefly considered starting a Clean With Me video, but didn't have the energy.
the paper bags were not under there originally, they just feel off the top of the fridge when I moved it
I recovered the two bottle twisties we have from under there, which Yuan was happy about as he played with them right away. I almost never get bottles with those, so I keep the two we have for him.
I had given the aquarium a deep clean which generally you don't have to do, but the substrate (gravel) had gotten really gross and I worried it was effecting CuChulainn's health negatively. I think since I had had so many plants that either died or just partially melted, even though I was trimming off dead parts, it was too much and so there was too much rotting material under there. My snails eat rotting plants, but they don't go under the gravel like some other animals do.
It was a tumultuous day for my aquarium friends, but their home is much cleaner now. Don't worry, there is new biofilm for Sanglainn and Macha to eat, as well as catappa leaves and other foods I give them. I am also trying to grow algae on rocks in a jar on my windowsill for them to eat. Hopefully it works!
That's about it from here. I hope you all are doing well and have a wonderful week!
