So my new big air purifier gave me a change filter light (it's been running for almost 5 months!), and if you've ever wondered how good they are at cleaning the air:
Yeah, that is so much dust, it's even bumpy where the entrance holes are on the body of the machine.
The filters aren't too expensive considering how long they last, but I've always run the little one's filters through twice to save money and resources, so I vacuumed this one and put it back in for another round. You can see that it's dirty inside too because it was bright green brand new. This filter is a HEPA filter with added protection for smoke and chemical smells, which is why I chose it because I was trying to stop getting migraines on the regular due to my neighbor smoking so much pot, it leaked into my apartment. I apparently can add it to my list of allergies, since I was reacting so badly to it (it's not like they test you for that one at the doctor, lol). It does help with that, too! So I'm super happy with it.

The size of this air purifier is strong enough that it cycles the air in my entire apartment twice an hour if I have it on full speed. The smaller one was always rated to be just for one room, so I moved it into the bedroom (and yes, it gets full of dust, too, lol).
I spared you from taking a picture of the bug graveyard that was under the lid when I opened the machine to take the filter out, but there was a bug graveyard. I had been wondering why the fungus gnats I had been dealing with suddenly went away for the most part even though I had been watering my plants from the top with aquarium water, so the soil was moist (basically if you have fungus gnats you want to water from underneath with aqua globes or something because they lay eggs in the moist soil in houseplants). They used to even land in the aquarium, and I'm pretty sure Laeg or CuChulainn were eating them (bettas eat insects and they were small enough). The air purifier was apparently sucking them all in!
So two thumbs up, ...two lungs inhaled? ...do recommend Levoit air purifiers. :)
