I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 6 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙
Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
Aside from today (July 31) being my birthday, after 2PM (Hawaiʻi time) it will also be the August HPUD, so I'll be doing my birthday powerup of close to 50 HIVE at some point in the early evening. As I mentioned yesterday, the powerup today will take my notably past 10,400 Hive Power, and it will also make it possible for me to surpass 10,500 HP by some time next week, which ain't too shabby.
A few months ago I wrote about how I was focusing my investments in two diesel/liquidity pools linked to Splinterlands, DEC:SPS and PKM:SPS, because the returns were so good (pool fees for DEC:SPS, and pool fees and liquidity rewards for PKM:SPS). Well, I'm sad to say that this is no longer the case. The APR for the DEC:SPS pool was notably lowered, which halved the amount of SPS that I was able to claim on the Splinterlands website, and even more unfortunately, with the change I also stopped receiving pool fees from that pool (which means that the payout threshold for pool fees rose). Just last night the Splinterlands website was also updated to remove claimable pool rewards for 3 main pools, which without pool fees, rendered keeping my assets in the DEC:SPS pool pointless.
The daily liquidity rewards for the PKM:SPS pool also expired a few days ago, and they were not renewed, so I lost my best daily source for DEC and SPS (not to mention PKM), but that pool is still at least earning pool fees, thankfully. Since there was zero benefit for me to keep my assets in the DEC:SPS pool any longer, at least with my lower level of shares in that pool, I removed them last night, to reallocate the DEC and SPS to other pools where my returns would hopefully be better.
I decided to start adding liquidity, as my amount of SWAP.HIVE allows, to the two pools, both Splinterlands pools, that offer the highest pool fees, SWAP.HIVE:DEC and SWAP.HIVE:SPS. Interestingly, the pool that earns the absolutely highest pool fees, SWAP.HIVE:DEC, has many-fold less liquidity than the DEC:SPS pool, which suggests that the threshold for earning pool fess might also be quite a bit lower, which would be fantastic. The SWAP.HIVE:SPS pool also has quite a bit less liquidity than the DEC:SPS pool, though still about 3 times more than the SWAP.HIVE:DEC pool, which would suggest that the threshold for pool-fee payouts is somewhere between what it is for the other two pools.
So now I'm just slowly adding liquidity into the SWAP.HIVE:DEC and SWAP.HIVE:SPS pools, to find where their respect thresholds for pool fees are. So far the amounts that I've added to these two pools have not yet triggered pool fees, but I'll just going until they do. I do intend to get back into the DEC:SPS pool at some point too, when I have a lot more DEC and SPS available. The diesel-pool landscape is always changing, and necessitates periodic adjustments and reallocations, which is true for all of our investments. Some pool changes hit harder than others, but I just keep bobbing and weaving, adapting and flowing, and improvising and overcoming, regardless.
Yesterday, Wednesday, after finishing up my Hive tasks, I prepared for a session that was scheduled for 1:30PM. The session ended up starting quite a bit later than expected, and we didn't finish until a little after 7PM. Once the session was finally completed, I stopped by the Landing to collect my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee from the fridge, and then I headed back to the Flow House to begin my evening Hive tasks, and to catch up on my notifications, later than usual. I got everything done by a bit after 11:30PM, and after some asset management, and a scan of my X feed, I went to bed, a little on the late side, just before 12:30AM. I woke up a little before 7:45AM, still feeling that I needed more sleep, doing more asset management, going to make my superfood fire coffee in the Landing, then returning to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just before 12:30PM, so a marvelous time to wrap this up, so that I may get to my few other important Hive tasks, before leaving the Flow House a little later in the afternoon, to focus first on photography for my posts, then community/land work. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until my birthday HPUD post later this evening, and the next expression of these posts tomorrow! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
2025 Life Goals
1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
All photos were taken with my Motorola G Play 2024 Android Phone.
Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
