I live barefooted and naked, very close to Earth and Nature, in a 16-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i. I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙
Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
I find myself beginning to write this post notably later then I'd like, past 11:30PM, and I'm already feeling pretty sleepy, so I don't imagine that this will be very long. I got Hive caught up pretty early today, with the hope of writing a post before I went to go work on the land. That, however, did not flow, as I just wasn't feeling inspired on what to write, so I didn't try to force it.
I took a break from Hive because Ano called me to tell me that the baby chicks were hatching from the eggs on which one of our chicks was sitting up on top of a shelf, and he asked me to move them because the chicks were starting to fall to the ground, and he didn't want the mongooses to get them. Thankfully Shakira and Jo(hanna) came to help, too, so we ended up doing it together. They gently collect the unhatched eggs and the chicks, and I very gently grabbed the mother hen. We took them to a brooding cage in the large jungle chicken pen, where one mother hen and her two baby chicks were already being kept. I totally forgot to take photos of them! Doh!
When I was done helping with the mother hen and her chicks, I returned to the Flow House to hopefully write a post. That of course didn't happen, so I played with VirtualBox (a virtual machine application) instead, installing a very interesting disto of Linux in a new virtual machine. It failed to boot at first, before I realized that I had to treat the virtual hard drive just like a real one and partition it, with one partition for the EFI boot partition, and the other the root directory the the install. I got it installed again, but I had to manually create the filesystem table, and install and update GRUB. Once I did all that, it booted fine, and I explored it a little.
The distro is called BlendOS, and it uses containers to make an iteration of Linux that is based on Arch, but blends Arch, Fedora Rawhide, and Ubuntu together, along with the ability to install Android and web apps too. It's quite a fascinating idea that I just had to try!
I left the Flow House about 3PM, with the intention of going to do some plant-and-garden work, and to take photos for my Off-Grid Jungle Garden Update, which very thankfully did. I took photos all over the property, and got some plant work in. I took four cutting of a really amazing tomato plant that we have that was given to me originally as a gift from a woman to whom I give sessions. Once I potted those up and watered them, I found a place for them in my nursery.
The next task was to thoroughly weed an area in front of Kana's house that used to be a garden, in preparation to plant several of the many Coleus varieties that I have that need to get in the group. Soon I had a huge pile of weeds. I moved that pile, and a previous pile of cane grass that I had made about two weeks ago, while preparing another area for Coleus planting. I dumped both under a mango tree, then used the wheelbarrow to collect and dump three loads of mixed-wood mulch in the area I had just weeded.
After dumping and spreading the mulch, I went back to my side of the property to take a shower and make food, and then return to the Flow House to catch up on Hive again, and then write my Last April Off-Grid Jungle Garden Update: Food-Forest Wonders post. That post took me quite a while to put together and write, as those posts always do, which is why I started on this post so late.
It's now almost 12:30AM, so I think it's time for me to take my leave and go get my cute little tushy into bed! I'm a sleepy puppy! I deeply appreciate you all! Until tomorrow! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
All photos were taken with my Motorola G Power Android Phone.
Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! 😁🙏💚
