I live barefooted and naked, very close to Earth and Nature, in a 16-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i. I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙
Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
I've mentioned many times that Hive is the only community created, developed, run, governed, and owned blockchain in the world. That's truly incredible. Since the stakeholders (you and me) determine in which direction Hive goes, one ridiculously important aspect of Hive is governance. There are three main types of governance on Hive. One is voting for witnesses, the second is voting for proposals, and the third is voting on posts and comments/replies. There are two kinds of witness voting too, voting for Hive nodes (where HP determines influence) and voting for Hive-Engine nodes (where staked WORKERBEE determined influence).
Our vote is our say on Hive, so it behooves us to use it well, as it determines every aspect of our beloved Blockchain. The more HP we have, the greater our vote weight, which translates into greater power and influnce in relation to our votes.
I have a confession in relation to this topic. Soon after I arrived on Hive, I proxied my vote for witnesses and proposals. I did this because I didn't know the witnesses well, and I wanted to support free speech on Hive. This proxy has been in place to this day. I feel it is important for me now to get involved in this exceedingly important voting for myself, so I will be removing this proxy very soon, and doing my own voting from here on out!
The weather today alternated between sun, rain, and clouds, often in rapid succession. My usual daily Hive catch-up and tasks did not go according to plan again. Our Thursday community NVC meeting took up two and a half hours, and then Aloha and Mahina really wanted to go back in the pool with me again today, because they had so much fun yesterday. They both stayed close to me most of the day, including in the NVC meeting, and up at the Flow House as I still endeavored to catch up on Hive. I got a chunk of catch up done, but a lot had to wait until the evening. While Aloha and Mahina are not my children, I have deep love and care for them, which they feel. Aloha actually called me 'dad' twice today, and Mahina did the same once. I take it as a compliment.
When I left the Flow House around 3PM, I finally agreed to go play in the pool with them for a while, before I went to go get some land work done. We stayed in the pool for maybe an hour and a half, with Laxanya joining us for a short while, too.
When we finally got out of the pool, we took a shower, then I went to unload a very full load of mulch from Ano's truck. @aukuna helped for the whole time, with Kana and Ano helping at different points. When we finally had the mulch unloaded, I drove the truck back to the car ports, and then helped Ano check the gutters and downspouts over Stefano's lab. When we had that done, Ano and I did about another hour of machete clearing out on the second driveway. Ano also harvested some poles of Melochia and gunpowder tree, which I helped him debark and carry back to the shop area.
We finished around dark, and I was one tired puppy. I took my second shower of the day, and just as I was about to head to the Landing to make food, Shakira came into the shower area looking for me. She wasn't feeling well (nauseous and dizzy), and asked me about plants that could help her. @aukuna and I both recommended ginger. I also got her some water with sea salt in it, some clove basil, and a lime. I stayed with her for a good while, to make sure that she was OK. She finally began to feel a bit better, and went to go make tea in Tutu's.
With that handled, I went to the Landing to finally make food, which I didn't as quickly as I could, and then I headed back to the Flow House for some very focused Hive catch-up, a few tasks, and then to begin writing this post.
It's now just past 12AM, and I'm exhausted and can barely keep my eyes open, so I'm going to end this post now and dive into bed. I deeply appreciate you all! Until tomorrow! Onward and upward, together! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
Mahina and Aloha were taking photos with my phone during the NVC meeting, and left this one for me.
All photos were taken with my Motorola G Power Android Phone.
Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
