I live barefooted and naked, very close to Earth and Nature, in a 16-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i. I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙
Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
Hive is known for, and does many things, very well indeed. One thing that I've noticed in my time here is that Hive is a blockchain of many contests. There are more regular contests here on Hive than any other blockchain or platform with which I've had experience. I would suggest that Hive's innumerable contests are one of its great strengths.
For anyone who peruses the feed on just about any front-end it will quickly become apparent that there are a great many contests being run at any particular time, and of every conceivable sort. Heck, it could be said that contests are an integral part of this Blockchain and everyone's experience of it, with @hivebuzz's gameification of pretty much everything that we do.
The benefits of so many ongoing active contests on Hive are many. They generate great interest, activity, and engagement in the various communities where they're hosted, and at particular times of the week or month. They help to grow many individual accounts, and the Ecosystem as a whole, as well as create and nurture camaraderie, connection, and friendship among those who participate.
For those of us that regularly take part in various contests, there is often great anticipation, excitement, and fun in the process. Regular and ongoing contests like this also provide a welcome sense of consistency and dependablity, which then foster these qualities in ourselves.
Given that Hive is a do-it-yourself Blockchain, anyone has the ability to start a contest of his or her own, of any type, and with any parameters or rules that s/he sees fit to include. The personal touches that many people add to their contests are what make them stand out, and also what generates loyalty among the participants.
The importance and power of contests on Hive came into my mind this morning as I considered the end of the Hive Engagement League, and how it really is the end of a era, as it was a very significant aspect of many people's Hive experience, and for years. It definitely became a wonderful part of my week over the past seven months, and I looked forward to it every Monday. I wrote a post last night about the ending of the Hive Engagement League and its meaning to me, The End of an Era: The Hive Engagement League Ends. I am forever grateful for my participation in it while it was going, and I'm certainly going to miss it! As my friend Jackie (@littlebee4) said today about it, something new will likely pop up. I think that's true, and I love that about this beautiful Blockchain. We always have so much going on and bubbling up, that we will always have new contest adventures in which we can take part! Glorious!
It was mostly sunny (just a little rain) and beautiful Tuesday in my jungle home yesterday, and one which I'd say flowed pretty well. I was able to stay caught up on Hive pretty much all day yesterday, which gave me more a feeling of relaxation and space in my day. I left the Flow House just before 3PM to go do some land work, which encompassed three main tasks. First, I transported and emptied three five-gallon buckets of compost from the Landing under a white sapote tree. Next, I planted the second 'Cavendish #1' banana keiki that I had dug up the day before. My last task was clearing a large swath of cane grass in the new orchard with Elohi (Ano's son, who just returned with his sister from a trip to the mainland) , where I planted the bananas.
Once I had finished my work for the day, I took a shower, strained out another round of kefir for my kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao blend, and then made myself food. With food made I returned to the Flow House to do another round of Hive catch-up and tasks, and then I felt inspired to write the above-mentioned post on the end of the Hive Engagement League. Because I had just about everything Hive-related done (except for this post, which I've come to enjoy writing in the morning), I was able to go to sleep early, which was pretty wondeful.
Because I went to sleep so early (10PMish), I also woke up early, so I started on my Hive catch-up at 5AM and continued until about 7AM. I love when I have Hive caught up and up to date! This morning I even made my superfood fire coffee and started on this post early, so I'm quite a bit ahead of usual!
It's now almost 10AM, which is a great time to end this post, and then do another round of Hive catch-up and tasks, before finally going to do some land work in the late afternoon. I deeply appreciate you all! Until tomorrow most likely! Onward and upward, together! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! 😁🙏💚
