I live barefooted and naked, very close to Earth and Nature, in a 16-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i. I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙
Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
In these posts I talk about many diverse aspects and dimensions of Hive, but one that I've so far not mentioned is one from which I derive quite a good deal of comfort, namely Hive's notable regularity. Every single day now, since I arrived here 1 year, 9 months, 2 weeks, and 6 days ago, I've seen that the Hive Blockchain Ecosystem functions on a very consistent periodicity, one with which I've learned to flow pretty well.
Of course there are things that go wrong or don't work when they are supposed to do one thing or another, but it is exactly because of Hive's usual consistent regularity that we notice them. While those moment may feel annoying or frustrating when we're trying to get something done within a certain time frame, they add a bit of novelty in our day, and they also give us impetus to find other ways to do things here on the Blockchain (there are always multiple ways to get something done).
With the wild circumstances and uncertainty that many of us have experienced in the world and in our lives over the past few years, having something consistent, stable, dependable, and reliable like Hive in our daily activities is very useful and beneficial. Added to that regular Blockchain periodicity, our consistent, long-term interactions and relationships with people here also helps in that regard a lot as well.
From the UTC time that signals the change from one day to another here, the specific times when tip bots reset, when delegation payouts are sent, or when new rounds of contests begin, this whole Blockchain is based on an incredible and generally stable consistency and regularity. With how few consistent things there are in my own life on which I can depend, I very deeply appreciate and am grateful for Hive's beautiful regularity.
Yesterday was a sunny and almost hot jungle Wednesday, with Hive receiving most of my focus, as usual, from morning until just before 3PM, when I left my lava perch up at the Flow House to go do some work on the land. Before I began working, I walked around a bit to take photos for this post, shaved (buzzed) my head and face again (as I was feeling a little shaggy), and helped carry supplies from Kana's car into Tutu's after the Wednesday town run. I also collected and carried food supplies that Kana had picked up for me back to the Landing.
The main task that I did yesterday was to clear a large track of land along the main trail, that was getting very overgrown, with my machete. I was actually surprised to see just how much I was able to get done, as I was so focused on what I was doing that I wasn't paying attention. While I did get a lot done, there is much more to do, which I'll likely get to tomorrow.
After my machete work, I took a shower, made myself some food in the Landing, then I returned to the Flow House to begin another round of Hive catch-up and tasks, which thankfully did not take me long. (Io)lanthe hung out at the Flow House with me as I worked, watching movies on her tablet. Just after dark I walked her to Tutu's for the Tuesday D&D game that several people play.
With everything on Hive done early again, I went to sleep just a bit after 10PM. Unfortunately I woke up at 1AM and couldn't get back to sleep, so I ended up doing a few Hive tasks, to make use of my awake time. I didn't sleep much more, and I definitely felt it this morning when I finally got up jusr after 8AM (late for me).
I had just finished making my superfood fire coffee in the Landing in time for the Thursday community NVC meeting at 9AM. I didn't really have bandwidth for that, as I was tired and I had quite a bit to get done on Hive, including writing this post, but I stayed anyway. The meeting ended at about 11AM, at which point I returned to the Flow House to write this post, and then begin my morning Hive catch-up.
It's now just after 12:30PM, so a good time to end this post for now. Io is up here again on her tablet, and she asked me if I could make her eggs, so I'm going to go do that before I start my catch-up. I deeply appreciate you all! Until tomorrow morning! Onward and upward, joyfully together! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
All photos were taken with my Motorola G Power Android Phone.
Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! 😁🙏💚
