I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 5 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! πππβ‘π₯π₯β΄οΈβ³οΈβοΈπ£π±β¨π€

Now that we've gotten many important aspects of the Alive Tribe up and running (mostly) smoothly once again, and also implemented a few cool new things in the process, the time is now coming to engage the members of the Alive Tribe, and of the greater Hive community, in a broader and deeper manner. For our community of people to be authentically engaged, there must be a good array of interesting, meaningful, fun, inspiring, and motivating regular community-engagement activities, challenges, events, and the like, where there are notable benefits for participating.
In a post that I wrote a few days ago, I asked the following questions:
Is there anything from the previous iteration of the Alive Tribe that you miss? Is there something that you think is cool from another project or community, that you'd like to see in the Alive Tribe?
To which @edgerik responded:
I love the energy and the vision.
As for new possibilities, I've seen some communities implement themed challenges or spotlight features for members, which could be a fun way to engage and inspire everyone here.
Excited to see how it can take the Alive Tribe to new heights together.
Both of the ideas that he mentioned are wondeful, and they could indeed be very enjoyable focuses for the Alive Tribe community. Everyone in the core leadership is certainly on board for these, as well as many other possibilities. Since the Alive Tribe community, and everything else on Hive for that matter, is community-driven and run, for new, fun engagement activities and challenges to be set up, we need willing, excited, passionate, committed, and dedicated Alivers and Hivers to host them over time. In other words, if there's something that you'd really like to be a part of the Alive Tribe, let's talk, and then we'll make it happen!
The We Are Alive Tribe is community-built, so it's you, me, everyone else in the core leadership, and in the whole Alive Tribe community, who's task it is to decide what we really want, and then begin to ground and actualize our most exciting ideas into practical reality. The sky's pretty much the limit, within reason of course. So we're calling on all builders who want to create something nifty in the community, to get in touch with us (@iamraincrystal, @benthomaswwd, @borniet, @nathalie-s, @tydynrain), so that we can get things rolling!
Within the Hive and Alive Tribe frameworks, what would be the most fun, meaningful, and interesting activities that you could imagine, that might inspire and motivate you to partΓcipate, take part, and perhaps even host? If it's feasible, we can work together to implement it. Also, anybody who hosts community activities will be paid weekly in ALIVE or ALIVEM (depending on preference), for each event hosted (0.05 ALIVEM, or its ALIVE swap, per activity), because we want everything that is done in the Alive Tribe to be mutually-beneficial, and for those that contribute and support to feel well appreciated.
Maximum Mutual Benefit is the foundation upon which we intend to build everything in the We Are Alive Tribe, and its the guiding principle that we in the core leadership follow in everything that we do on the Blockchain, and in the community. We're here to support your success, we want you to thrive on Hive, and in your life, and we'll do whatever we're able to help make that true. Come, my friends, let's build some badass stuff together!
Yesterday, Monday, I left the Flow House, after finishing up my Hive tasks, just after 2:15PM, jumping first into some photography for these posts, playing quite a bit of hide-and-seek with the sun in the process. Once I had a nice batch of shots, I got my machete and collected a wheelbarrow full of assorted edible foliage for cow-milking food. With that done, I took a shower, stopped by the Landing to collect my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee from the fridge, and then I made my way back to the Flow House, to power up my HIVE for HPUD, write and publish my post, April HPUD - Hive Power Up Day - 52.506 HIVE Powered Up!, about it, and finally to get to my usual evening Hive tasks, and catching up on notifications. I had to pause that for about an hour and a half to attend the Monday logistics meeting. As soon as the meeting was finished, I returned to the Flow House to get back to Hive. Because of the hour and a half lost, I wasn't able to get fully caught up on my notifications before I had to make myself stop around 12AM, so that I could do some asset management, and then go to sleep just after 12:30PM. I woke up a little before 7AM, having slept fairly well, doing more asset management, beginning on this post, then getting out of bed to go make my superfood fire coffee in the Landing, before returning to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just before 1:30PM, so a fantastic time to end this post, so that I may get to my few other important Hive tasks, before leaving the Flow House a bit later in the afternoon, to focus first on photography for these posts, straining and blending kefir (kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao), and then community/land work. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until the next edition of this post tomorrow! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! πππβ¨π€
2025 Life Goals
1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
All photos were taken with my Motorola G Play 2024 Android Phone.
Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! πππβ¨π€
