Museu Nacional dos Coches
Website: http://museudoscoches.gov.pt/pt/
The Museu Nacional dos Coches, which means "Carriage Museum" in Lisbon's Bélem district, is the city's most visited museum, with about 400,000 visitors a year, so don't miss it if you're ever in town. Here you can admire one of the most beautiful collections of historical carriages from all over the world.
crossing a little Park
Just crossing the street over there and a bit through the little park.
Its small but even here you will see some old #sculptures. Lisbons street is even artfully and historic.
I played a bit with the #monochrome style. 😘🤗✨
This small street is amazing. I couldn't photograph it all, to many people where around. But the Flair is a bit like in #paris. Its little paris street to me. 💯🌸💕
Lets walk on guys, we are still not finished.
Mosteiro dos Jerónimos
The Mosteiro dos Jerónimos is located in Santa Maria de Belem/ Lisbon (Portugal), and is considered an #architectural #masterpiece. It could also be called a symbol of the Age of Discoveries.
Therefore, The Mosteiro dos Jerónimos is an integral part of the #history and #culture of #Portugal. It can be briefly noted here that Portugal has much to offer in terms of history, #spirituality and culture.
It is said that the completion of this UNESCO World Heritage Site took a 100 years at all, wowowow. The Constructions began on January 6, the day of the Portuguese King, in 1501, an era that represents the Age of Discoveries, a time when most of the world was still undiscovered and unknown, we had no computers or internet, and Europeans were just beginning to sail the oceans and seas to discover the rest of the world.
The Mosteiro dos Jerónimos was built at that time to offer elderly monks a quiet place to reflect and pray. It thus replaced the church that previously stood in the same place. This #historic #monastery has long been one of the most important #symbols of Portuguese power, especially in the Age of Discoveries. It was the setting for many historical events.
This one I shot from the other side of the street.
Here I tried the #blackwhite #photography style again.
To proof the spot for you guys.
Some close-ups. So you can see more of the details.

Museu Nacional de Arqueologia
Website: https://www.museunacionalarqueologia.gov.pt/
Here you can find some exhibits that still originate from its own excavation activity, which the museum has carried out since its early days. Since 1895, the Museum has reported on these excavations and activities in its own scientific publication, O Arqueólogo Português ("The Portuguese Archaeologist").
The permanent collection consists of two main sections: Finds from Egypt and Finds from Portugal.
What do you think? Shall I go in and post about it for you?
Here you can see many finds from the Bronze Age and the museum also has an important collection of Roman mosaics, mainly from southern Portugal.

Tropical Botanical Garden
Website: https://museus.ulisboa.pt/jardim-botanico-tropical
Its not a public garden but really amazing and beautiful to see. When you visit lisbon, take your time and visit also this jardim. Or let me know if I should show you this one in future.
This marvelous Tropical Botanical Garden is in the monumental area of Belém, next to the Jerónimos Monastery. So you just take a walk in a sidewalk.
It occupies a total area of about 7 hectares, integrating a Botanical Park open to the public with 5 hectares. With a vegetable heritage specialized in tropical flora, the Garden is classified as a National Monument and just beautiful to see.
Once upon a time this magical Garden was created... Ok... To be more specific on January 25, 1906 by Royal Decree. Now some historical facts, it was created in the context of the organization of colonial agricultural services and #Colonial #Agronomic #Education at the Institute of Agronomy and Veterinary, having been called Colonial #Garden. Phew, minimum 100 years of #history meanwhile. Hope it was not tooooo boring for you.
Who wants to enjoy a romantic carriage ride is exactly right here.
The entry of the tropical garden. Wanna see more? Let me know, I would go and visit it for you guys.
At least some random #streetphotography for you. Have a beautiful day.
Hope you guys liked my #Wednesdaywalk today.
