A mystery trip back in time to...? for my WednesdayWalk tour today

Hi there all,
I hope that you’re all doing well wherever you are around the world!

I hope that you’re all out there and getting in some wonderful Wednesday walks and I can't wait to go with you on your virtual tour this week!

So I would like to invite you to come with me on a rambling and random and spontaneous #WednedsdayWalk, which shall remain a mystery, until you step though this gate into another realm.

So welcome to the mystery tour, where you will see streets filled with everything but lots of people.

Please make sure you have your sun hat with you as it is 32c out there today and we don't want you getting burnt!

Lucky that there's plenty of shady spaces and places to sit and relax for a while while we take in the sights and the scrumptious smells of all of the resturant and cafes around the streets, all serving the best of African, Vietnamese, Chinese, Sudanese, Indonesian, Italian, Thai, Turkish and Japanese dishes.

So this mystery destination is actually an amazing multicultural suburb of Melbourne called Footscray.

As I has a spontaneous trip out to Footscray the other day to see a man about a job, I took the opportunity to have a walk around Footscray because it’s been such a long time since I’ve been there.

In fact, it's been about 15 years since I was last here, so my first stop with was the famous Footscray markets which you can read more about here @chocolatescorpi/market-friday-starring-the-historic-and-muticultural-footscray-market because there are really incredible and famous markets too!

And then after the markets, I went wandering aimlessly around, just enjoying looking at the wall art, sculptures, the architecture, the streets and the bridges.

So please feel free to go at your own pace and enjoy the sights, sounds and aromas wafting up your nostrils too!

After a few hours, I headed to the train station as I needed to get some medication to a Covid affected friend of mine in Docklands, but first I had to stop and smile at the graffiti on the tracks, telling me to SMILE! 😃

And then I arrive at Southern Cross Station and walk to Docklands via the overpass, and stop to shoot these cool views of all the tracks and some of the skyscrapers along the way too.

And down into Docklands.

After I quick drop off (no visit to the Covid affected for me, even though she is a good friend..) I jump on a tram to South Melbourne to do a quick shop.

And as I walk home, I walk down this little alley way to see all of this joy, colour and unique #streetart work.

And then I pass something so mind blowing I have to stop and check it out, wishing A) I had $$$ on me and B) I didn't have a bag full of frozen goods (in the 32c heat) that needed to get home into the freezer and C) no people to throw them at...Ooops I mean no friends to throw them with...😁😆🤣😂😅😅😅😅....

(and I'm sure more than half of the ladies in the #ladiesOfHive community too, especially @kerrislravenhill ! Am I right girls...?!😃...)

Anyhow, to put out our fires, I would like to introduce you to my local fire brigade, who have been weirdly quiet today instead of screaming past every hour or so, sirens screaming and lights, flashing like they have been lately....oops, nope, spoke too soon....
