Today, without planning it, I ended up taking two walks this Wednesday Walk that I would like to share with you.
In the last few days, I have been doing some errands because we want to sell my mother's apartment. It's a lot of work to empty the apartment and also to do the paperwork to have everything ready in case an opportunity comes up. This morning, I had to go to the commercial registry. Fortunately, the registry I had to go to is in a nice area of the city that I like a lot. My friend L. offered to go with me.
So, in the morning, we went to Colinas de Bello Monte.

The registry is on Miguel Angel Ave. When I arrived, they told me that I was missing some documents for the errand I wanted to do, and I had to walk down the street looking for somewhere to print them, but it was a good opportunity to take a walk.
I walked in the direction of Plaza Los Chorritos. A tiny little square on a corner, known because there is a figure of the well-known character of the Argentinian cartoonist Quino, the incomparable Mafalda.
I was surprised that there was a new figure. The last time I was in the Plaza, there was only Mafalda and her friend Manolito. But they have placed a new figure of these iconic characters, Susanita, Mafalda's frivolous friend.
I printed the documents and went back to the registry. I was able to do my paperwork very fast, fortunately, and then with my friend L., we walked to the nearby Caffé Piu.
A small and emblematic coffee shop in this neighborhood that sometimes gives me the feeling that I was stopped in time.
After a coffee with some anisette donuts, which we devoured (yes, I forgot the pic), we returned to the car after a productive morning and agreed to meet in the afternoon for a hike in the mountain.

So in the afternoon, we met at the entrance of the Natural Reserve of La Fila Park, the one that you have seen many times in my posts but that I never get tired of photographing.
These days, everything is very dry. You have to walk carefully because the amount of dry leaves can make you slip, especially in the narrower parts of the trail.
It is so dry that through the bare trees one can see a little of the view of the mountains.

And always the expected arrival at the viewpoint, where in the afternoon there are always people resting from exercise and mesmerized by the view of El Avila.
The afternoon was gorgeous. One of those days when the sunset light falls on the mountain, giving it different shades.
We spent some time watching the sunset and then went back to the trails.
A day with two very different walks, but both left me with memories of what I love about this city, which is often chaotic but can also be welcoming.
