Hello Hive Friends,
Mother Nature has been kind to us here in Quang Binh, Vietnam, providing many significant limestone mountains with hundreds of magnificent caves, diversity the beautiful jungle, natural pools and beaches in wonderful settings for us to enjoy.
As many people are aware, I work for an adventure tour company that offers unique activities such as caving and trekking in the heart of the spectacular jungle in Quang Binh, Vietnam. In the first articles, I concentrated on writing about my caving and trekking adventures. As a nature lover, I am constantly on the lookout for new natural and beautiful things to spice up my life. I moved to Dong Hoi and began a new journey for about a half year. And, just a short distance from where I am staying, there is a new check-in location called Loc Ninh village, which has stunning lakes right there.
Contrary to most people, I usually take days off at the beginning or middle of the week and focus on work on weekends due to the nature of my work. Today I took a day off and got my friend to go to Loc Ninh to go fishing and take some pictures of this new place.
It only takes 25 minutes by bike from the centre of Dong Hoi city to here along the No.1 Highway and turns left where you will see a very nice lake. Because this location is not well-known, we only saw a few locals on the road when we arrived. Travelling somewhere less crowded like this area is an excellent idea right now, and it may become a new tourism trend as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Some of the interesting outdoor activities I could list here to consider for a day out with family and friends
The colour of the water was my first impression when I arrived. It is regarded as one of the cleanest and purest water sources, and swimming, kayaking, and paddle-boarding in this wild lake are all excellent options, made even more enjoyable in the summer due to the cool water.
This is the place to be if you want to get away from the city for a while and set up camp. You can also host a barbecue and gather around a campfire to forget about the stresses of your mundane daily routine. I am confident that the kids will have a good time. The surrounding scenery is breathtaking. We only have a half-day today, so I told my friends that we would camp here next time because we are all sadly busy with work tomorrow.
Going fishing is one of my favourite things to do here. Fishing, as many people know, is a great way to unwind. It can also help me develop a patient, calm demeanour, as you may have to wait for hours on end but will not be able to catch any fish. I am fortunate enough to get some for dinner tonight with my homie.
One of the best ways to reconnect with nature is to seek out new activities. Vietnam, as a country, is charming and spectacular, with many places from north to south that have yet to be fully explored. As a nature lover, I hope to make as many trips as possible before I get too old, at least doing something local with my crews and family. A short walking day out like today has already provided me with many interesting and useful things.
