Wednesday was pretty nice, I got up early, got my errands sorted and then seeing as I haven't been for a Wednesday Walk for a while, I grabbed my camera gear and headed out. It was slightly overcast, cool and breezy but seemed just perfect enough even if I didn't find anything particularly interesting to photograph.
There are pathways that I can walk that I don't see when I drive around here so I wasn't aware of the beautiful sprays of flowers that I would be treated to as well as a few little creatures. As you can see in the picture above, the daisies that have been planted along the pathways have all come into flower as well as a few others and they lined the way brightly.
Keeping in mind that I wanted to get a few different aspects of my walk, I remembered to look around and see what else caught my eye. I found that wherever I went, the man-made things were generally far less inspiring, definitely not as colourful, but in their own ways also held some intrigue as I could see that there were loads of straight lines (us humans love our straight lines) and then a few things that were more circular, almost mimicking nature's favourite shapes - the ones with curves.

The man-made things all seemed to guild a very industrial look when grouped together, but when dotted around in between more natural things, they blended into the scenery pretty well.
Of course I'm going to add a few more of the nice natural photos that I got because, well, they're not bad and considering the weather, they came out well after a few touch-ups with Lightroom.
The bees were out in full force being super busy with their pollen collection.

I love bee bums sticking out of flowers

These little succulent flowers are about 5mm wide and look like perfect little stars

I have a bit of an affinity for this shade of green. It reminds me of the brand new needles on conifers in spring time and when I look at this photo, I can almost smell the pine forest around me. This is not a confiner and I didn't go anywhere near a pine forest today, but it's strange how we can attach our senses to a particular colour or image and conjure up memories.
And of course, let's not forget the pinks and purples that go with that green so brilliantly.

I must admit that I didn't really get any exercise during this walk because every few steps it seemed there was something to photograph and then I had to go stealth mode to get the frogs.

While waiting, I was even able to capture a dropwing. All in all, a really pleasant walk full of colour and creatures, just the way it should be. I hope you had a great Wednesday too!
