Today with my wife we visited the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption; Located in the historic center of the capital of our State, Nueva Esparta, how is La Asunción. It is said that it is one of the three oldest cathedrals in all of Venezuela and over the years it has undergone multiple restorations, being one of the last in which they are currently working, although for me the outer part loses part of its ancient essence upon entering. Still in a pillar you can see how it would be without the restorations and when it was made with mud bricks.
El día de hoy junto con mí esposa visitamos la catedral de Nuestra Señora de La Asunción; ubicada en el casco histórico de la capital de nuestro Estado Nueva Esparta cómo lo es La Asunción. Se dice qué es una de las tres catedrales más antiguas de toda Venezuela y a lo largo de los años ha sufrido múltiples restauraciones siendo una de las últimas en las qué se están trabajando actualmente aunque para mí la parte exterior pierde parte de su esencia antigua al entrar todavía en un pilar se puede observar cómo sería sin las restauraciones y al ser hecha con ladrillos de barro.
We started our way to the cathedral from the Boulevard 5 de Julio we continued walking and observing the historic center of our capital with the facades of the houses existing there and some shops also combine new elements and others not so much but what I did think is what The Boulevard is quite clean, that is to say, they take good care of it since it is one of the places with the most history in our Nueva Esparta State. I hope to be able to continue in the coming weeks to continue proudly showing the areas and monuments that stand out the most in our State to see tourists back as it once was. Empezamos nuestro camino hasta la catedral desde el Boulevard 5 de Julio seguimos caminando y observando el casco histórico de nuestra capital con las fachadas de las casas existentes allí y de algunos comercios además combinan elementos nuevos y otros no tanto pero lo que sí me pareció es qué está bastante limpio el Boulevard es decir lo tienen bien cuidado puesto qué es uno de los sitios con más historia de nuestro Estado Nueva Esparta. Espero poder seguir en las próximas semanas seguir mostrando con orgullo las zonas y monumentos qué más se destacan de nuestro Estado para volver a ver de regreso a los turistas cómo en un tiempo fué.
