How are you guys,I hope you are always happy wherever you are. Thank you Wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay. Some time ago, I went to an exhibition venue, the location is on bhayangkara street, precisely in the building wisma Wisnu wardhani the small town of Sukabumi, West Java.
Exhibition theme is Soekaboemi tempo Doeloe or Sukabumi in the past. The building where the exhibition was held is an old building and was built during the Dutch Colonial era with a high roof covering the roof using tiles Made from processed clay.
The Soekaboemi Tempo Doeloe exhibition is held annually and is always enthusiastically attended the main exhibition building. In the front yard, the exhibition committee wears traditional Sundanese clothing with women wearing kebaya and men wearing black.
There was an old man playing a traditional Sundanese plucked musical instrument called Kecapi with a special Sundanese song,this musical instrument was Made from Wood and it had the words Wilujeng sumping written on it, which in English means Welcome.
Each room displayed demontrations,written texts,photographs and in the form object of historical stories. This exhibition provides information about the lives of the Sukabumi people in the past. For example education in the past is demonstrated by school benches Made of Wood and looking sturdy.
The photo and written exhibition also provided information about the first police education program in Sukabumi. On the terrace there is an art gallery that invites visitors to learn to paint, and finished works are also displayed.
The history of the Chinese entering the Sukabumi region was also demonstrated, many relics of traditional household furniture and counting tools were also demonstrated, water flasks,old-fashioned clothes suitcases,old fashioned lighting devices using patromaks were seen.
Woven bamboo was also used to hold harvested produce such as rice and other's, water dippers were Made from coconut shells. A demonstration of traditional rice pounding tools and a replica of a traditional building used to store newly harvested rice, some of these traditional rice pounding tools are still preserved today.
