I invited my friend to join me in visiting an event which was located at a nearby park to where I live called Titiwangsa Lake Park for their KL Park Festival 2023 held from the 4th of March til the 12th of March. I didn't know it was only for a week and good thing I checked it out to find out that Sunday was the last day. Hence, we did not waste any time and decided to head straight to the park after church and lunch. My husband was recovering from illness and could not join us, so we were just two ladies, got changed headed for lunch, and off we went!
The main reason why I really wanted to go was to observe the organising and execution of this event. I am an event lecturer teaching and guiding 84 students for their event this semester and I always like being exposed to external events, observing, then sharing it with them during lectures while teaching them. Another reason, I love the outdoors and whenever the weather is good, I would love to be out and about, of course without the scorching sun! And to top it all off, I have very good company with @michelleloh168 which makes walking 4 hours fun and meaningful as she's a very easy-going person who has some similarities to the things that I like and enjoys doing too.

There were many such sculptures around the whole park created by some creative people to showcase their work through a competition. Smart of the organisers to get people participate through a competition.
They even have floating sculptures! How smart!
Then they have this Balcony Showdown segment with more than 10 balcony designs on display.
Here's some of the balconies on display. They propped up the balconies with plywood then got designers to design them.

Oh boy!! This was a highlight for me! I love animals especially up, close and personal! So this park ranger was on his patrol with 2 others, he was nice and patient enough to stop for us to touch and take a photo. Look at that horse, so handsome!

Here's some landscaping exhibition created by the different city councils in the country showcasing the uniqueness of their cities.
The famous Stadhuys in Malacca City
This design won the best design and it's from Johor Bahru, a city in the Johor state. The top resembles their unique hat and apparently it rotates.
For every item on exhibition, they have these buntings with description for any curious souls.**
More sculptures this time, made by hay.
It was a landscape exhibition and there was indeed no lack in flowers throughout the whole park. How pretty and mesmerising.

This is an indoor section with lots of very expensive plants.
Michelle exclaimed when she saw this plant as she's been telling me numerous times how expensive this plant is. Indeed, VERY expensive!

This section was called the Student Hub where they get students from some Universities to show case dresses made out of recycled items and plants. Very creative indeed.
More sculptures
From a distance, we heard some live performance going on and we thought that it was from the Main Stage area. We walked towards the singing and to our surprise, busking! I always love buskers. If I have the time, I'd sit and enjoy them longer as they're just very talented people. For this bunch, I was specially attracted to the acoustic guitarist. Mesmerising!
Ribbons! So smart of them to create this section as an attraction for people to take photos. It's always important in events to create attractive enough for people to take photos.
So here's us! We surely didn't shy away from taking photo of the ribbons and ourselves with them too.
We walked so much we clocked in more than 10,000 steps in that 4 hours. It was a nice time and this sunset which I love, is a beautiful view to end the day.
