A storm Ciaran is passing the South of England and the North of France to head on down to the Alps to dump the first significant amount of snow of the season, the Netherlands is also 'preparing' for this.
I say 'preparing' within accolades because it always seems a bit like the Dutch don't take any sort of storm seriously. Even if flights are cancelled and people are told told stay inside, I still have my colleague who texts me in the morning 'Are we going by bike?'
And even I have to get to the other side of the country tomorrow while the storm is passing for something and I suggested a bit 'maybe we should leave in time because of the storm' , this was greatly frowned upon.
Dutchies and weather.... a whole different ballgame

So that is the typical European version of autumn weather, and I don't like it. Never have. Hubby is always telling me he autumn the most fantastic season of the year, and I always confirm it to he with the sidenote...'* yeah babe it is awesome, you just have to take the perfect minute to see it before it rains again*'
But admittingly...when the sun was out easlier in the week and I went for a casual walk, it was a fantastic sight with the trees. Everywhere was the tricolor, and especially with the one minute of blue skies it was really cool to see!

Diverse
What is really cool at this moment of the season is that all different spots of nature have their different moment of turning into autumn and winter time.
You can notice now that the trees which are cathcing a lot of sun are turning different slowly and even there per tree you can already find the difference as it all does not go at the same pace.
And I mean come on..red trees are really something else right?

Different pace
But when you look a bit deeper into the woods, you find a lot of different types of trees there which all have a different moment of turning in color.
This brown and yellow leave is above a little river and this one never had any red in there (I pass there a lot so I follow the change).
And when you look even further down into the woods, everythings is still green and never even changes color at all. This is just green until it falls out and drops their leaves.
And I am luckily enough to have an enough open mind to see this every day and notice it, as most of the people who I pass are buried in their phones during their walks. There is plenty of time for that, just take the damn moment.
I am glad that I did for the least. Even though it was good searching for it as the moments of blues skies swiftly went over into the next storm.
I really don't like autumn.
