In the previous weeks, I had written a series of posts about my weekend gateway at Treasure campsite, which I shared some shadows captured at night. Then, I take you my escapades as I reconnect with nature.. How exciting it was to try the giant seesaw and high swing and, lastly, tried some obstacle courses. Now, as it was Wednesday and usually I write an entry, let me take you with my journey going to the campsite.
In order to save, it was one of my officemates we booked as a carpool, and since he joined us, he billed us 50% cheaper than it was supposed. However, the meet-up was in Cubao Quezon City, Manila, about 25 minutes away from me, without traffic. Before I just needed to ride a bus going in there, and there was a lot. Yet, since the pandemic started, Edsa Carousel Buses were implemented. Loading and unloading were point to point (P2P). For an easier way, I decided to ride in MRT (Manila Metro Rail Transit).
From my dormitory, I need to ride in a jeepney going to the nearest station, Shaw Boulevard.
I didn't notice the jeep signage, it will be passing in the overpass, and the MRT station was on the right side. Leaving me with no choice but to take a few walks.

Nice, the pavements were still the same as I can remember, still clean and spacious.
Finally, I reached the station. Supposedly, I will be taking the escalator, which was on the right side. Yet, I remember the stairs, which I find too tiring to climb up before! But, I wanted to challenge myself now if I can still!
NO one is using the stairs going up, so why not grab the chance to test my strength? At least I will be reassured if my steps take time, as no one is behind me.
Can I?
One, two, three, four..............., I kept on counting the steps! Wew, before reaching the middle I am already catching my breath. Weak. Should I go down then? If I would, I find regret the steps I took. It was just the same; I would be walking down, so why not go up instead?
Seventy-nine, Eighty, Eighty and eighty-TWO, finally! It consists of 82 steps/stairs to reach the top!
What is this kid doing here, maybe waiting for his companion?
Since it was the weekend, there were only a few passengers unlike on weekdays, expect a long queue.

Some food kiosks have been closed for years already. It didn't take long before I bought my ticket. After my bags were checked at the scanner, I headed down to wait for the train.
It was a public transport, so as expected to have different types of passengers. In rush hours, it's normal to bit hit once in a while due to overcrowded. hehe, don't worry; the number of passengers now was limited to maintaining social distancing.
Not only that, but there is the area for FEMALE Passengers, PWD, and Pregnant.
This is where I am standing, of course, just for females 😄.

When the train arrived, I wasn't' able to capture a decent photo as it was moving fast, and I was too. Thus, I needed to be faster, so I didn't get a chance to sit. I just found a good spot to stand. My legs were still tired from using the stairs, but it was fine. The journey took a little bit of time—three stations to be exact.
I bought only a single journey ticket as I will be going back the next day. Besides, I seldom commute through MRT.
The MRT journey ended here, but this is where the wonderful day is about to start.
Thanks for reading, and that's all for this week's entry in Sir @tattoodjay Wednesday walk in collaboration with @elizacheng to make me smile. I hope I made you 😊.
