Does twelve thousand steps count as a good walk where you get tired enough to just fall into bed and fall immediately asleep at night? Mix with that activity the almost non-stop talking, the excitement of a Hive meeting, and the uncertainty of whether or not the rain will catch us at some point. I would say yes.
After we met and exchanged our first impressions and consumed our cups of coffee in a bar with a very cool, musical name - piano bar, we went for a walk through the main street in the city centre.

These were my colleagues for this walk. I could tag all of them, as each of them is a Hiver, but let's not abuse the tag option and let them chill and rest from this exhausting day we had yesterday.
I just realised we didn't take any photos of the ice cream we bought at the oldest ice cream parlour in this town. 🤦♀ The Hiver in the pink T-shirt was more than surprised by how affordable it was and how big a portion of ice cream was here. He said that in Belgrade it is much more expensive.
Our walk led us until the end of the main street, where we saw the town hall, the building of the police station, and two "portals", as our guests called those... I am not sure how to call them... artwork? lamp posts? Anyway, they were the Hive portals, and the Hiver in the black T-shirt made a very cool photo with us peeking out from behind the pillars of that object. We will hopefully see it in his post one day. 😎

Then we went to the completely other side of the town, btw Apatin, I still didn't mention its name. So, here we met more Hivers - of course, just in our imagination. Look, @godfish, we found you! Everyone agreed it was you! 😁

And you were mentioned once again when we arrived at the brewery of Apatin. It was founded in 1756, and although the owners changed a few times since then, and new buildings were added to the whole complex of this brewery, the old, original building with this facade evoking the German origins is the most beautiful part of it.

After seeing the main street, its old chestnut trees, the church, the old school, the town hall, and the brewery, we headed towards the Danube River. The sky was so dark in some parts. Storms usually come from this direction... Will we have luck and stay dry during this walk?

I guess that Ања, the silver heron, talked to the clouds, as even though we went to the Orthodox Church, the rain hadn't started before we got close to the restaurant where we had our lunch.

This is one of the boards which shows a part of the route of the Amazon of Europe Bike Trails. There were several routes and trails, and each one explained to you where to ride and what you could see there. We just walked yesterday, no bike tours for us this time.

We just took a few photos of the Orthodox Chruch of Synaxis of the Holy Apostles, and then went back to Zlatna Kruna restaurant. Just a few steps away, the rain started. What luck to hide there in the covered terrace.

My order was a bottle of Coca-Cola. I got it with the "pobednica" name, which means winner. I don't know what I won; I didn't take part in any competition. 😂 Maybe I won the view of the Danube as the main prize?

I know - it was the competition of taking the most crooked photo of the river! It must be that, I have no doubts! 🤣

Our lunch arrived! This is the proof of schnitzel 😂 (which reminds me of our Graz Hive meetup...).
It was a bit cold to sit there, on the terrace, so after I finished my lunch, I went to get a sweater. The grey clouds saw that and decided to leave that area. It became warmer, the rain also went away and the whole afternoon, after this lunch was spent in visiting very cool places in nature and walking until the sun set on the green horizon.
