This is just one typical weekend, people are busy, everyone's had their own personal task that needs to be done, and some were just like us that needed to buy ingredients or some things. Some of course are here to do business, they're grinding so hard, hope they got a good sale today. At least they will go back home with a happy heart despite having tired bodies because of the hard work they all put in.
We saw this one tricycle with a bunch of singkamas on it. It caught my attention because there are people stopping in there, so they are selling it. We also check on it to know the price, and it is really cheap. It's only 60 pesos, pero Tali. It's not too big and just the right size. I want to buy it, but the oldies are not too fond of this one. As for me, I actually just want to eat a few of them. I can imagine eating it with a special dip called "alamang." But I didn't buy it because Mama won't be able to eat it as well.ಥ‿ಥ
We then headed to the Tiangge-an, and the seashells on the basin caught my attention. They have different kinds of it, and you know they are really good at making a soup. With just simple ingredients like ginger, onion, garlic, and salt to taste. Just that, and you can have a soupy seafood. It's best if you put a drop of calamansi on it. Ahhh, I can imagine it!
This Talaba, or oyster, is what I love the most. I like to buy some of it, actually, but just thinking about how hard it is to get the oyster meat inside is what makes me back out. I love it really; I remember Mommy D buying it at the market, and oftentimes, we always had a yummy lunch. We ate a lot, and really, drinking hot soup is the best. But then, aside from this, it makes us eat lots of rice; getting the meat of it is really hard and can take time. We'll also need something sharp to remove the shells or something. Lol. Anyways, do you have this oyster in your area? I also love to dip this in a special dip that consists of calamansi, red chili, and salt. It's the best!
Anyways, here is more that you can find here. Look at all those bunches of Gabi o Taro. That's perfect to make Ginataang Gabi, as in with lots of coconut milk and spices. Pairing it with dried fish would be good too. Ah, I bought 1 kilo of tomatoes here. It's 25 pesos per kilo, so cheap but really good quality.
They also sell coconut here, by the way. I'm not sure how much it is, though. And look at all the busy people in there shopping just like us. They sell just the same things, actually, but there are rare times when you can also find new items here. Though it is really rare.
So after getting all the things we need here, we then go on our way home. I got lucky to spot these pretty flowers of Kangkong. Mama said it's Kangkong or water spinach. I am not too familiar with it, to be honest, because we prefer the sweet tomato leaves that this is..
So yeah, today's just another typical day. Although we're just doing the same thing everyday, it could still be fun as we can still discover or see new things, and isn't that exciting. ┏(＾0＾)┛
