Hello, wonderful friends in this beautiful community. How are you today? I hope everyone is doing great. Another month to fill in with great adventures, and another day to store with beautiful memories.
Today, I will be sharing with you a short meaningful walk into the place where I lived. Luckily, I grew up in a place full of adventures and beautiful nature. The place is full of greenery views because we are situated on a mountainous area. For some, they would say that our place is one peso fair to heaven. Yes, somehow true because of the uphill location of it. But apparently, this place has a lot of adventure to do and a breathtaking view. Come on, and I'll show you.
It was one sunny afternoon where I feel the urge of walking. Walking makes me feel relieve and enliven the energy in me brought by exhausting days. Luckily, it was easy for me to walk around without the pollution, big trucks and traffics.
The moment you walk into our place, greenery views will surely glad to meet you. The place is planted with sugarcane around. Almost all the arable land are planted with sugarcane by the plantation owner.
Everyday I will pass by in this area. The breeze of the wind will surely touch your face and will tell you how lovely it is to breath the morning air. Going into the place during rainy days or cold nights will surely tell you how cold it is. During December, the place will show some morning fog.
As I continue walking, I also see a lot of planted bananas near the cemented path. This will surely gives you an idea of the livelihood of the people living here. Some are growing their crops, some also are planting bananas and coconuts around.
Living here might not be easy because there are less opportunities in terms of jobs but surely you will not feel hungry for there are lot of root crops and bananas around where you can cook and share with your family.
Our neighbor planted some vegetables along the road. Although there are sugarcane planted near the area, yet, people here will always make a way to sustain the daily needs.
On the other side of the road, you will come across these lovely coconut trees planted near the cemented path. It is so delightful to see these amazing view everyday.
These amazing coconut trees are also one of the livelihood of the people here. Some will sell young and old coconut fruits as their source of income. After getting the coconut flesh, some will sell the coconut skulls to earn another income. For some, young coconut trees are also the source of livelihood where they get fresh coconut drink everyday (in the local term "tuba").
It was so overwhelming to see these lovely nature that surrounds me everyday as I woke up in the morning and went home in the afternoon.
You can see from afar the trees since the place is surrounded with hills. Because we are living in uphill, there are also a lot of grown bushes in the area.
Everyday, if you are just diligent enough to wake up early in the morning, you can jog in this area for there are less trucks that will pass by. Only motorcycle will pass in the area and rarely big trucks will come along here.
These are the lovely view on the top of the hill. Side by side you can see a lot of grown bushes.
With my niece coming with me, she is so happy and eager to get the small fruits of Aratiles (Mansanitas in the local dialect).
After a short meaningful walk, I was relieve seeing all the wonderful view that surrounds me. It was so timely when I return home, this marvelous sunset made my day an extra special.
How calm the sunset is, feels like it signals that our body needs to relax after a day of working in different offices.
Indeed, that was a wonderful walk reflecting about life. Life is really wonderful its just up to us how we view life.
Life may be tough sometimes, but there will be no problems that we could not handle if we are just strong enough to face the battle. Walking will help you unload for a bit and come back with a greater mind.
There are always small things to be thankful for, but waking up every morning is a great blessing.
Have a great day!
