Hello, and howdy to you all my Hive friends. How are you today? Wishing you all a good day. In today's blog, I'll gonna share with you my Wednesday walk in the downtown area of Cebu City, initiated by @tattoodjay, and the #makemesmile challenge of @elizacheng.
Last day, I had the chance to visit again Cebu City for another matter to attend to at Cebu Technological University-Main Campus.
While strolling around the downtown area of Cebu City, I visited the Metropolitan Cathedral for a short prayer before meeting my appointment. Had the chance to see this solemn place again. Seeing its structure outside, you can see how beautiful the design of the church is.

On the side, you can see the bell tower. It's quite old yet so meaningful. It has 3 layers. On the first, you can see the prayer room, the second and third layers are church bells which are still being used today.
Facing the front area is a mini plaza where children can play with their parents and look out. Parents or families can also sit around the mini plaza for there are chairs allocated for churchgoers.
While I was having another walk outside, I can see this balloon vendor which is very eye catchy to young kids. I can see that there are kids who are pulling the side of their parents just to have one.
On the side, I can see someone selling potato fries in a circular shape and some oranges too. These potato fries are one of my favorite snacks after attending mass. Aside from its flavorful taste, it's also nutritious. You can ask for your favorite flavors either cheese flavor, barbecue, or sour cream.
After eating my snacks, I had to walk for a while before reaching my target place, and while walking, I saw a familiar plaza where the statue of the famous Rajah Humabon, one of the great leaders during pre-colonial times in Cebu situated. Got the chance to take a picture of the plaza and its beauty.

After my appointment at Cebu Technological University, had the chance to visit the famous Magellan's Cross near the Sto. Nino Church. Which symbolizes the set foot of Christianity in Cebu. I visited the place many times and every time I got the chance to see the place I felt in awe of its beauty.
A lot has changed, the renovated mini plaza outside became a place where people could sit and relax or escape from the heat of the sun. Some people also are having their dance practice in the area. It's good to see that no matter how busy and crowded the downtown area in Cebu City is, you have a go-to place where you can relax and think for a while.
When you thought you have nowhere to go, and you found this place so comforting to stay.
That's all for today Hive friends. Have a nice day everyone. I hope I made you smile today😊
