Here is a nice spring walk for this #wednesday walk by @tattoodjay
Quite a few critters were out as it was just starting to get sunny around here for spring. I finally saw this year's first beaver. Here he is sitting on his tail, I tried getting him to move so I could get a shot of the tail but instead he just jumped into the lake.
The robins are out all over the place again, though they are puffed up to stay warm in the cold wind.
Squirrels are still getting abducted by aliens. They just get vacuumed up off the grass for various extraterrestrial experiments.
The red-winged black birds are back and posturing around for territory again.
Here is one in full display right after a loud squawk. Look at my bright red shoulder pads!!!
So far I haven't seen a single female red-winged blackbird around yet, maybe they are the early birds just staking out their territory before the females arrive.
The Canadian geese are starting to pair up for spring. Soon there will be some little goslings running around.
The snow drops are finally starting to bloom.
These little guys are usually the first green shoots that come up in spring and are the first blooming flower. They call them snowdrops because they are often blooming while it is still snowing.
So far no new mushrooms are out yet. Just old polypores like these turkeytails are out. Hopefully in the next week I can start finding some new spring mushrooms.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
