Here is a typical commute walk for this #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay
First you wake up early to avoid train delays and standing all the way on the commute.
Its nice and peaceful if you get on the train early. You can find your own seat and spread out your laptop and keyboard and compose midi. If I catch a later train then this is not possible.
Now arriving at the station there are huge escalators and various restaurants not even open yet.
Nice and peaceful.
Now its time to brave the empty early morning city.
Scoundrels are always graffiting everything.
Thankfully this part of town is low on graffiti.
Now for a few examples of skinny alleyways around here. You can see in a straight skinny line almost all the way to the lake from here.
I call these things the pigeon tinder hookup spots. They fly up on these opera house decorations just to mate lol.
Now for a really skinny alleyway. Imagine having to use the fire escape here.
Here is the bridge operator's booth. When a huge sailboat rides through the river they have to pull up the bridges. Its terrible for foot pedestrians as they are stuck watching a slow boat go by while they miss the train.
Here's another skinny alleyway. This one is designated for smoke breaks for all the buildings nearby.
Sometimes the light traps you in-between two major roads.
Just a bit of old school architectural detailing that is rarely ever put on new buildings.
Finally an art deco griffin, we need more gargoyles and griffins integrated into modern architecture. Everything is bland and stale these days.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
