Here are a few random sightings from walks with my daughter for this #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay
Here is a bit of Trypophobia for you.
It gets worse, we found planters in our usual downtown walk full of bird's nest fungi. each one has eggs in it that will spread more of them. I showed my daughter the little eggs with a stick.
Speaking of eggs we found a shell from some kind of bird that recently hatched. I'm trying to look up what kind of bird this is. My daughter enjoyed seeing such a small egg and was looking up in the tree for the nest.
Meanwhile the businesses downtown have a series of dragons decorated in their windows. This is for an interior design studio so of course it has all sorts of tile and fabric samples integrated into it. I'll have to try and get photos of all these dragons.
I showed my daughter this pile of ants to warn her not to stand in them. They sting they sting!
The planters around town are full of these huge flowers. My daughter tried smelling this one but it didn't really smell like anything. We'll have to find some irises or roses next time.
Now for a turtle swamp. I tried to get my daughter to count how many turtles were on the lake.
A nice big bumblebee. I warned my daughter to never catch one of these as they sting, but they are ok to look at.
Any sort of statue is fascinating to her.
We even went looking for chanterelles and she found one. But she had more fun collecting walnuts as she though we were easter egg hunting again. I guess walnuts look more like eggs than chanterelles.
Mom never likes me taking photos of her so I have to sneak a few shots when she is not looking. This is a large marsh we like to go to looking for sandhill cranes. Sadly none were there but we did see lots of frogs.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
