2 Keepers and a Grabber
Keeper: Stealth Multibase
Land the ship in a region with dense tree cover and unload as fast as possible. Before anything else send out explorator with Rebel General and Special Infiltration Agent, 3 underground construction, 3 toms custom, 3 soup and cook and 2 generators. They will find places that are densely covered yet close enough to be within radar view of the main base/ship, set up the UC’s and leave 1 Tom’s Custom, 1 soup and Cook in each, and 1 generator in each of the larger UC’s. the inside un-setup. They then return to the ship as quickly as possible, covering their tracks as they go.
The crew left at the ship will setup the main base, radar first, then walls and turrets (full attack inside walls and full resist outside), then the rest inside the walls. Once that is done, oksana takes the database and the engineer to the UC without a generator and drops them off. He sets up while oksana scouts. Nash goes to that underground construction on foot.
The vanguard is manned in shifts and stationed near the main base but concealed as much as possible. At the first sign of combatants, oksanna goes orbital and is ready to drop and pickup the database asap. If combatants approach the bunker with database first for some reason, the vanguard intercepts, while oksanna comes down and grabs the engineer and database. She loses the pursuit and then drops off payload at another UC and disappears. Vanguard retreats toward main base asap with Nash if possible. Oksanna scouts enemy base.
If the enemy approaches main base first, Oksanna grabs the Alanna Vos and goes orbital, vanguard attacks their flank and pins them against the walls. Oksanna finds their base and if it is not well defended attacks with RG. If not gathers info for later and returns Alanna to base to assist in battle and retreats in the velvet storm to be ready if needed to retrieve the database.
If they approach an unoccupied UC the the vanguard goes out with Shen and Alanna and Oksanna provides air support with the velvet storm.
Whenever there is time, Rebel General and Special Infiltration Agent will be foraging and hunting according to Oksanna’s guidance while at the same time scouting for the opposite team and taking them out whenever they can isolate them.
If at any point the mysterious ai can interfere with the opposite team’s communications, computerized gear or weaponry, vehicle guidance systems or radar, it will be authorized to take any action that can generally give them a disadvantage or create chaos among their ranks.
Everyone will of course be equipped with power suits and as much firepower as they can carry. Mostly a combo of judgement day or peace keeper with a karper heavy and party ammo.
At full upgrade the foodie moodie, toms custom and happy five should be autonomous. That leaves the turrets and radar using 17 energy per day. Running 2 TR-100’s at max output gives an extra 19 units per day to allow Oksanna to scout in the Storm for almost 3 hours. The Vanguard will only be used when necessary but otherwise kept fueled up and ready. If it’s possible to stockpile unused fuel then scouting can be slightly less prioritized to save fuel, if not then use it up scouting whenever necessary to avoid waste. When the generators in the main base run out of charges they are switched for the ones in the UC’s.
Upgrades:
• Bunker: upgrade 1 to full stealth add 1 stealth and 1 installation in the other 2
• Radar array: upgrade ground to 9
• Walls: 3 installations and ql 5
• Turrets: 1 at full resist, 2 at full attack
• Tr-100’s all at max energy output (18/day)
Keeper: Hack Attack
The goal of this strategy is to have enough time and resources to a) access the datacore from an alternate device (besides the database) and b) create a fake datacore that will self destruct when the database is activated.
The 2 main components of this strategy are the hackers and the defenders. To that end I need enough cargo space to bring the tech equipment and some defensive measures and enough crew space to bring tech personnel as well as a lot of muscle. Clearly I will need to use the Repentant Pirate in order to use Sh4rken.
With abundant food and water on this planet and the amount of personnel I have with planetary skills feeding the colony and building shelters should be easy. On a longer timeline Eliza will be able to use the Rare Plants Collection and local plantlife to grow food and medicine.
I will load the ship with as many computer programs as it will hold to provide extra materials for the hackers and ai to do their thing. The computer room will be upgraded for performance so will still need 3 energy per day so with the bunker and upgraded toms custom that is 7 total. The generator will be upgraded for 14 energy per day and 700 charges. This gives me enough energy for 200 days and allows me to run the vanguard for 2 hours every other day or 1 hour everyday.
The Underground Construction will be upgraded for 2 installations (Toms Custom housing the Computer Room + 3 habitats and TR-100) and +1 Orbital Protection. It will be placed on top of the most easily defensible hill available( that has easy access to water) with the Bunker right next to it. (On top of it if possible with access only through the bunker) the two hackers will sleep in the bunker at night and work in the UC by day (or whatever schedule allows them the most productivity...) the Vanguard will generally be parked right next to it.
The mountain/hill will be patrolled by small squads (Stugg, Shen, And Nash each with a Triskan Fighter) leaving Eliza and the Tech Expert back at base working on food and medicine production, maintenance, and able to jump into the Bunker or UC for cover if necessary. Oksanna Tyron and the Killbot remain at the base for protection, Oksanna ready to jump into the Vanguard.
The Rebel General, Cornered Rebel Agent, and Scarlett will scout around, try to infiltrate the enemy base when they leave it less protected. If possible Scarlett will poison the enemy’s water supply ;).
If approached with a large force, I will surround them, (the three mountain forces on front and 2 sides with Oksanna joining in the vanguard if the troops are outgunned, K-119 and Tyron remaining behind at the base, and the stealth scouting party attacking from the rear as soon as they can get back if they are needed. If the enemy retreats then the scouting party will remain hidden and use gorilla tactics to pick them off as they go.
Anyone capable of wearing a Power suit gets one and anyone else gets a Spartan suit except the techies and Eliza who get Eisen Suits. Everyone gets a karper heavy and a main weapon. The non gun savvy get SD’s for their main weapon, otherwise peacekeepers and judgement days. Lots of ammo of course.
If the enemy is destroyed before we complete our fake datacore then thats great. If not then we eventually hand over the booby trapped database once we have full access to the real datacore from the computer room. (I have since realized that this part is superfluous since the goal is just to crack the datacore, but it would still be pretty great)
Grabber: Robot Army
Upon arriving we will make a pass over the planet, searching as thoroughly as possible for any other spacecraft still in orbit or ground installations/people. If they are still in orbit then we simply wait. They must come to grounds some time to try to work with the database and we can be reasonably sure they are out of fuel. We search until we find them or must land for fuel reasons paying special attention to islands and considering they may have multiple stealth bases. Once we land, we immediately send the friendly eyes out to scout all islands again just in case.
If the other team goes with an entrenched defense, then I will need to be ready for a siege situation. Surround/corner the opposition so that they can’t forage for food and water while I can. Wait till they leave their enclosure and fight on more agreeable terrain. Use the Vanguards to block the most likely egress points. Set up a generator and turret in a hidden position out of range from the enemy turrets and leave the engineer and shen to guard along with the explorator. Attack the encampment with the vanguards periodically targeting any turrets or mounted guns or radar they have, (radar first). Tyron and The Space Marshal man the Vanguards. Oksanna and the Rebel Agent periodically scout the perimeter in the Storms and little buddies and friendly eyes on a constant but randomized patrol pattern. (Friendly eyes doing a very wide perimeter)
Once they have been worn down a bit and the radar taken out, at night launch heavy concentrated attack while the Rebel General and Agent sneak in and pilfer the goods. They take off with oksana in the storms and get away without being seen to hide the datacore on the other side of the planet.
If they are mobile with multiple fast vehicles then I will find them one by one with the friendly eyes and the storms and set ambushes for them. Oksanna and the rebel agent slowly coralling them toward the ambush set up in a canyon or dense vegetation.
1 TR-100s goes into each Vanguard, 1 in the Explorator with the rest of the cargo and personnel /robot army. One kilbot and some energy cells go with Oksanna in the Storm jic.
The little buddies are constantly on patrol for their secret lair, hopefully we can find whatever hidden/mobile bases they are using to extract data from the core and get to them before they move it. If The storms find one of their bases that is undefended they can loosen them up with some air attacks then send in the kilbot. If it is defended they wait for the robot army to arrive.
If they are found on an island we will move in with both storms at night piloted by oksanna and tyron. One has the Rebel General and one the Rebel Agent. They will scout and keep out of sight. The 2 storms drop off their passengers and then rush back for 2 kilbots, then a kilbot and shen, another kilbot and alanna, and then the space marshal and engineer. If we can wait to engage untill our full force is there we will. As soon as it is possible the Rebel General attempts to infiltrate the base to take the datacore and escape with Oksanna to hide it.
Generally food and water will be procured from the land but in case of extended engagement they will use the soup and cook to keep morale up and save time. All generators are upgraded for maximum output and are set up long enough to refuel tanks and then packed up again. Energy cells are only used when necessary.
All personnel has a powersuit if they are tough enough to handle it, if not then they use the military class A. Everyone gets a main weapon (mix of judgement days and peacekeepers) and Karper heavy with plenty of party ammo.
The added discipline and investigation from the comissar should help out with finding and secret lairs and general operations of a large group. The tech expert and engineer will certainly be useful in keeping things running, repairing kilbots, helping set up and breakdown generators and turrets etc... hopefully the fully upgraded rebel secrets inspires enough “anti federation” to take the edge off the the two marshals and let the crew get along well enough.
