After the success of Focus Art Fair in Paris 2021 that I joined last year, the exhibit director called me and asked me to join again this year... this time at Carrousel du Louvre, Paris!!! The venue, Carrousel du Louvre, is an underground shopping mall just across the famous Louvre museum - the museum that houses Mona Lisa. My work will just be a few meters away from Mona Lisa. :o
I had a few months to prepare but even so, I was thinking twice to join since I have some other plans with @acidyo coming up and I don't want the painting to come in the way. Fast forward, we were able to do those things planned and am still able to do the painting but I had to do it near the deadline. lol
The Process

I have a 4-meter wall in the exhibit area and I am free to do whatever I want with it. I decided to do a 127cm x 198.12cm (4ft x 6.5ft) big canvas and had a friend make the framing and mounting. When it arrived, I was kinda shocked to see it so big lmao even though I was the one who estimated how big it should be. And that's my dog not knowing what the hell is happening and why I'm taking our pic together. :D
I went outside my usual process: I just painted whatever comes up my mind with less planning. I usually plan my paintings carefully, from the colors to the composition, which causes me stress often as I don't want to make mistakes and do things again etc.. This time it's different, it's more carefree and even though I planned it a little bit, it's not hardcore planning and I let subconscious do most of the work.

I was really enjoying the flowy-dripping effect with my acrylic that I overdid it in some areas in the painting lol.
It also helped that I was listening to Serial Killers podcast on Spotify while doing this... so you can imagine why there's a lot of blood-like effect on the painting haha.
I took some pics of me painting as well...nthose that I can put in my portfolio or something.
This kinda looks like an artist-stock-photo. :D
It took me quite a while to finish it. Maybe 3 weeks. I could've finished it sooner so I don't have to stress about shipping and if it will arrive on time but I was procrastinating and watching movies and series with @acidyo at the same time but it was all worth it. :p
Like i said, the deadline is so close that I'm not even sure if this will be able to arrive on time for the exhibit but I didn't regret anything and whatever happens, happens. :D

Dreams have become my escape in the recent times. Sometimes they are good but often they are stressful and turn into nightmares. They are always vivid and I often find myself in the chasing-running situations. Because of this, I was able to learn things on how to handle them better and now I am not afraid of dreaming and even when seeing the ugliest and scariest-looking creature in my dreams. :D
This painting talks about my dreams and each thing has a dream reference. They were some of the scenes that scared me or really intrigued me. I am establishing dominance by painting them. So yeah, scare me now and in return I will paint about it and take advantage of the situation. :P
Also I painted this without planning that much because I don't want it to "make sense". Characters are in random order and aren't really doing anything specific or obvious since I want it to be very random. Dreams don't make sense, even so very random.

This was one of the most enjoyable paintings I've done especially I've discovered some other acrylic mediums and techniques along the way. I hope you like it as much as I do!
