Hello everyone, today I want to share with you a digital illustration I've been working on: it's a female portrait in semi-realistic style. Last week I did not have the opportunity to practice this type of drawing, but this time I managed to spend some time on it. What I enjoyed most during the process was experimenting with the color palette; the combination I chose this time seemed harmonious.

To bring this piece to life, I relied on a visual reference I found on Pinterest. This image was key to materialize the idea I had in mind and served me as a guide to build the composition. Below, I share with you some images that show the progress of the illustration.

Hola a todos, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una ilustración digital que he estado trabajando: se trata de un retrato femenino en estilo semirrealista. La semana pasada no tuve oportunidad de practicar este tipo de dibujo, pero en esta ocasión logré dedicarle tiempo. Lo que más disfruté durante el proceso fue experimentar con la paleta de colores; la combinación que elegí esta vez me pareció armoniosa.

Para dar vida a esta obra, me basé en una referencia visual que encontré en Pinterest. Esta imagen fue clave para materializar la idea que tenía en mente y me sirvió como guía para construir la composición. A continuación, les comparto algunas imágenes que muestran el progreso de la ilustración.

Process

I began the process with a sketch, in which I defined the proportions and established the base structure of the character through strokes. Then, I moved on to the color stage, carefully choosing a palette that complemented the atmosphere I wanted to convey. With the selected tones, I began to apply the shadows to give depth and volume to the illustration.

Comencé el proceso con un boceto, en el que definí las proporciones y establecí la estructura base del personaje mediante trazos. Luego, pasé a la etapa de color, eligiendo cuidadosamente una paleta que complementara la atmósfera que quería transmitir. Con los tonos seleccionados, empecé a aplicar las sombras para dar profundidad y volumen a la ilustración.
