Arte Digital: Prop – Telescopio Tridimensional para Barcos Pirata (Español – Inglés)

Hola, queridos amigos Hivers.

For today I will show you a new design of a Concept Art Prop.

The Concept Art has the purpose of presenting ideas to the Art Directors of movies and videogames that they can use in their productions.

To do this work, I previously prepared the Perspective template, as I did in my previous drawings. Then I drew a variety of sketches, from which I chose the one that seemed most appropriate.

Next, I show you the Step by Step of the construction of a Three Dimensional Telescope for Pirate Ships. It has three different lenses: one with an ideal range for ships at short distances; another one, for islands and ships at medium distances; and the third one for long distances, to observe the stars.

Step N° 1: I drew the outline of the Telescope, as well as the positions it can reach.

Step N° 2: I drew the Telescope from a second and third point of view.

Step N° 3: I painted the Values, that is to say, the Grayscale that will allow me to understand the Composition and Contrast of the different elements of the Telescope with some illuminations.

Step N° 4: I chose the point of view that I liked the most and added additional elements to it.

Step N° 5: I painted the Local Colors. Here I refer to the basic colors on which I will do the final Rendering. Rendering means applying layers of colors, gradients, textures, shadows, and lights, which will finally give the illusion of reality.

Step N° 6: I started to paint and generate Gradients to simulate the different materials.

Step N° 7: Little by little, I applied Shadow and Illumination Points where appropriate, according to the direction from where the light comes from, as well as imperfections and textures in the different materials.

Final Presentation

It took me three (3) days to do this work.

This work was done in Photoshop 2022 with my Star 03 V2 XP-PEN Graphic Tablet.

Para hoy les mostraré un nuevo diseño de un Prop de Arte Conceptual.

El Arte Conceptual tiene la finalidad de presenter ideas a los Directores de Arte de películas de cine y videojuegos que puedan utilizar en sus producciones.

Para hacer este trabajo, previamente preparé la plantilla de Perspectiva, tal como lo hice en mis dibujos anteriores. Luego dibujé una variedad de bocetos, entre los cuales escogí el que me pareció más adecuado.

A continuación, les muestro el Paso a Paso de la construcción de un Telescopio Tridimensional para Barcos Pirata. Posee tres lentes diferentes: uno con alcance ideal de barcos a distancias cortas; otro, para islas y barcos a medias distancias; y un tercero de larga distancia, para observer las estrellas.

Paso N° 1: Dibujé el trazo del Telescopio, así como las posiciones que puede alcanzar.

Paso N° 2: Dibujé el Telescopio desde un segundo y tercer punto de vista.

Paso N° 3: Pinté los Valores, o sea, la Escala de Grises que me permitirá entender la Composición y el Contraste de los diferentes elementos del Telescopio con algunas iluminaciones.

Paso N° 4: Escogí el punto de vista que más me agradó y le agregué elementos adicionales.

Paso N° 5: Pinté los Colores Locales. Aquí me refiero a los colores básicos sobre los cuales haré el Renderizado final. Renderizado significa aplicar capas de colores, degradados, texturas, sombras y luces, que finalmente darán la ilusión de realidad.

Paso N° 6: Comencé a pintar y generar Degradados para simular los diferentes materiales.

Paso N° 7: Poco a poco, fui aplicando Puntos de Sombras e Iluminación en los lugares donde corresponde, de acuerdo a la dirección desde donde proviene la luz, así como imperfecciones y texturas en los diferentes materiales .

Presentación Final.

Hacer este trabajo me tomó tres (3) días.

Esta obra fue realizada en Photoshop 2022 con mi Tableta Gráfica Star 03 V2 XP-PEN.
