This was the last figure painting workshop of the semester so there won't be any more figure painting Monday posts anytime soon. I'll miss it. I hadn't had the opportunity to do this much life painting for years and it was super fun. I'm glad I ended on something I don't hate this time around. Last weeks was NOT my favorite. Tonight the model was cool, thoughtful, like making sure we liked the pose and that he was in the same position as before. That's always nice.
These are some of the 5 minute poses. The way the room is set up, my drawings are broadcast on a TV in the middle of the class so the students can see. On one of the poses the model was facing the screen and he mentioned "I've never watched in real time as someone drew my butt" That got a chuckle out of me. I also managed to get a bit of the process in my layers although at the end I forgot to keep making new layers and we just sort of jump to the end.
With that I thought I'd also throw in some of my other favs from this semester since this is the last one.
I think my five minute drawings got worse as the semester went on :( gotta practice more I guess. See you all in the next post.
