Something I just recently dropped on MakersPlace. It's nothing too fancy, but something I made a while back while I was listening to this album by Thom Yorke. I felt like it went really well with this song.
The repetition in the song kind of evoked this idea about the fact that we're zooming along on this organic, naturally occuring spaceship through the cosmos without a ton of consideration for that greater reality that when contemplated renders all of our issues, hopes, achievements, concerns, worries, fears, ambitions, progress, sorrows, all tiny, all meaningless, but I suppose as meaningful as anything else at the same time.
The final version on MakersPlace is 4K and is pretty cool to fullscreen and meditate on. At least that's what I enjoyed. The loop is really short, but I'd find myself getting lost and being able to spend a surprising amount of time staring at it and thinking about what it represents.
When I created this I was creating a series of perfect loops of different subject matter for some work stuff. Comes in handy when taking the sort of stuff I like to make and thinking about it as "art" that someone would want to purchase and throw in their virtual gallery.
In other news OCA has been holding the #3 spot in trending communities for a while now, just under GEMS and OCD which are behemoths that will probably never be surpassed by another community, so I'm going to declare that #3 is actually #1 :D Either way, it's really awesome and couldn't do it without all of you OCArtist making awesome stuff everyday and all the curators out there completing the circle by rewarding you for it. In my mind this is the system working and I can't wait for more and more communities to be born and grow.
Also if you haven't seen it yet, I've created a post discussing how we deal with abuse in the art community here. Jump in and give your two cents.
