It's Sunday and here's an old painting from a while back as well as the process. This painting was a live demo for a painting class I teach. I'm also teaching that class this semester and this week we're back on portrait paintings. These days painting for me is really all about design. How will I make the strokes look interesting, how can I create a pleasing value pattern, a pleasing color harmony etc. When I was starting out I cared a lot about making sure I captured the models likeness or that all the forms read properly, but once you get past that stage it actually becomes a lot harder because everything you're struggling with are things that aren't there in the reference.
Hopefully I won't paint some utter crap in my upcoming demo. Of course I did NOT paint a practice portrait to warm up, so we'll see how it goes.
So on to the price...
W...T..F...
I was NOT expecting this. I just wrote a post days ago about how I had a bunch of liquid Hive and went ahead and powered it up. A little over 9k to be specific...
So, yea, umm...wish I hadn't just yet. I'd bought that at around the .08-.11 cent range, so that would be pretty nice right about now, but such is life, not going to complain about .88 cent Hive. Also if you haven't heard yet Binance announced that they're listing Hive as well so the pump may continue even longer.
I mean Hive is like the only thing in the world pumping right now so maybe we're a gasp of air in the drowning global economies? Hopefully we can keep a chunk of it. We all know the pullback is coming, the only question is how much. Let's cross our fingers that we can MAYBE stay above .50 cent, I'd be super happy if we settled there.
What do you all think the price is going to do? Are we going to hang out in this .90- $1 range or will the Binance news push us even higher? Or...are we about to go into freefall mode? Let's hope for the former two shall we. We'll see.
See you all in the next post!
