Crowned in Blue

Hello everyone!

This is my first post in the Onchain Art community and I’m super excited to be here. I decided to share something close to my heart, a blue ballpoint pen portrait I call “Crowned in Blue.”

The inspiration behind this drawing came from the quiet strength and bold presence of women that can be expressed through their posture and eyes alone.

I started with a light sketch and began the slow process of layering.

I darkened the shadows, built textures, and gradually the hair came to life.

One thing about working with ballpoint pen is how it forces you to slow down and be intentional and I’m happy with how it turned out and hope it speaks to you in some way.
