Hi, I would like to share with you a portrait of my grandparents which is an advance birthday gift to my "Lola" - grandmother.
I have started doing charcoal portrait when the pandemic happened. Honestly I am not an expert with this medium but I do love to share the materials and where I used it in this portrait. I hope it helps someone.

These are the drawing materials I used:
A. ruler
B. makeup brush
C. detailing brush
D. kneaded eraser
E. pencil eraser
F. mechanical pencil
G. 2b charcoal pencil
H. 8b charcoal pencil
A. Ruler - I used it for making grid lines.
B. Makeup brush - used for the hair part to blend charcoal powder with the charcoal pencil
C. Detailing brush - this one is used for the shading of the skin part
D. Kneaded eraser - First, I used it for lightens the grid lines after doing the outline of the drawing. Second, for erasing minimal mistakes.
E. Pencils eraser- for highlighting some of the hair strands
F. Mechanical pencil - this is for eyes, nose and lips, also for fine lines
G. 2b charcoal pencil - I used it for the ribbons, eyelashes, eyebrows and dark spots
H. 8b charcoal pencil - for hair strands and black of the eyes
