Greetings my fellow Hive dwellers!
A while back I introduced my new OC to you.
And now I am back with another illustration of him - this time, I've tokenized my art on NFTShowroom. To start things off, I am putting one copy of the artwork for a week-long auction. Starting bid: 3.33 Hive.
Well, with the marketing out of the way, I'd like to talk more about the piece itself.
Right off the bat, I knew that I wanted an interest angle and pose for my character - something that would work as a standalone illustration or a poster, focusing solely on my character.
I've spent a couple of days sketching poses, but initially gave up on it. Once I found new motivation, I've decided to use 3d model to help me solve this pose issue.
Cleaning out lineart did not take long, however, I did spend hours upon hours shading it and adding in highlights.
Ah, highlights! Definitely my favorite part of coloring process - it brings the piece to life.
Of course, once the character was finished - I needed a background to make him pop-out. I was considering a vivid blue color, but that was too fierce, and was clashing with his hair. In the end I settled down with a soft pink hue.
That's it for this post, but feel free to check out my last post: Exploring FAKE fanart and ART THIEF issue in Splinterlands community
