I really hate downvoting and I can honestly say I don’t think I have ever done it. You could argue I don’t have the hive power to influence at this point in time lol! I do not understand why people would waste their time to take away from a platform rather than build it up, without a darker motive. The user @smooth takes it upon himself to decide who gets too much for a post, whilst up voting all his own comments and posts. I hate to see this. Many of the people he is downvoting are just small fish, artists and creatives, who often blog for a few dollars and suddenly get an amazing pay out on a post then in he comes and swipes it. He’s not just done it to me but I have found countless other people he has taken from. I saw one lady who spent almost all her time upvoting others and re blogging then made one post she got a good payout on and he swooped in and stole a chunk. His time on this platform is spent taking away from people whilst up voting his own posts continually, since he deems those as ‘worthy of money’. Has anyone else had an experience with this user? Maybe we can collectively come together on it by upvoting anyone who got robbed and bring them back what they lost between us all.
People like this ruin the platform for everyone, we all know you don’t get a random big upvote very often. You get one because you dedicated time and energy to communities and built relationships. Sure it’s sometimes weird the posts that get the upvotes, when they end up on trending but it balances out with the 1 dollar posts. Users like this having a quick browse and deciding who they ‘deem’ worthy of getting votes are ruining this platform.
