I work with goals and achievements and I don't seem to have fun - I actually literally can't have fun - if I don't have clear goals and I work towards reaching them.
I guess I was raised that way. It's not easy and it's not nice, at all. Every time I start any kind of hobby I have to continously get better at it, I have to constantly challenge myself, and I must definitely see improvement in my development or I will frustrate, obsess with getting better, and ultimately waste a lot of time to reach my goals, sometimes to my own harm.
But whenever I reach those self-appointed goals, life is good, at least until I set the next set of goals in whatever the topic I'm developing an addiction in.
Over the past year this obsession has been coding with JavaScript and reaching a top 5% level on chess. This video is about the latter.

I hope you like this episode, I believe it's the 11th of the series.
