I continue with my adventures in antichess, the variant that has interested me the most so far, short games, errors that seem simple but that punish you for the whole game and many excellent players behind, as well as a lot of theory too!
For some time now I have been part of a team of these antichess masters who invite players to a league from time to time, giving out prizes and recognition to those who have perfected the art of antichess.
So I got motivated and entered one of these, having to face some of the most watched players up to that point, and I was completely crushed by them, in fact I dropped almost 50 rating points in less than an hour.
I'm sharing some games with you so you can laugh with me
The strongest of the whole team I faced, it was a long match but I think I defended myself as best as I could, in these games I discovered that I still have a lot to learn, especially with the opening theory in this variation, I can't keep playing what I'm playing with white, from this level on they punish you very harshly
I was close on many occasions to even scraping a few points from these super masters but I think that at this moment they surpass me almost without trying, many games where the mistake seemed to make no sense only for a few moves later to have me already finished on the ground
So there we have another line to add to the training section, I don't expect there to be much action like this in the next few weeks but these tournaments where they finish me off are very serious and I have even seen some that give some prizes aside, however I think I am far from those prizes at least for now.
