I am probably the only user who talks about antichess in the whole hive but since I love this variant, full of moments that I might not get in regular chess, it is quite unique
These days I have been on an excellent streak gaining a lot of rating in a stage where my performance and my excitement for the game had dropped a bit, so again it is time to show you some games and explain some concepts
And we have some games to illustrate the issue of time in each move, it is very important to know and calculate where our pieces will be after some capture of pieces, that makes our chances play in our favor, the last moves of this game I think were top for me
At some point one of the two runs out of captures and therefore has the initiative to start another chain of captures and that is where we must take advantage of it to give the final blow to the opponent
Almost as important as the times is knowing your opening, in antichess there are a limited number of options and each game usually has a high number of moves that are forced by the capture rule, so that is my second piece of advice and one that I give every time I make these antichess posts
we will not always have the specific sequences of moves but if we sharpen the idea we will have no problem taking it to other areas, several ideas with the captures of the bishop here which is one of the most problematic pieces for both sides
I played several games against him and this I think it's my favorite, simply dominant from start to finish with an opening that I don't know but that I knew how to capitalize on from the first moment, good coordination of pieces and, more importantly, no major mistakes on our part, so we're happy and once again soaring through the skies in the 2000 rating, a good start to the week
BONUS
I'm also practicing 960 to raise that rating for the upcoming hivechess tournaments, I recommend them too, an excellent variation to vary a bit with regular chess
