Temps have been low and more snow tonight; so I'm posting some checkmates from recent games of online chess. They aren't very spectacular, but a win is a win right?
A classic checkmate with an open Queen backed by a Rook:
A second checkmate, this time with a Black Queen backed by a Knight.
This isn't a checkmate, but a game won by resignation that I thought evolved pretty far.
The King was being forced to move, so I would have taken the Black Rook with the Knight and probably the second Knight with the bottom row Rook:
Good times. Does anyone know a better format for online chess than lichess? I would be interested to hear about it!
Peace!
