First, I'd like to show off my new badge. It's bestowed upon active players in the chess community. I go to admire it on PeakD once in a while LOL 😂. I could be very corny sometimes; I get excited about things like this.
Thank you @stayoutoftherz 🤗
Also, @samostically , something was quite wrong, which I observed. Players were getting paired even before the tournament began. Probably Lichess caught a glitch. I wanted to bring this observation to your attention.
_Now, let's dive into today's tournament talk:
So, today was another interesting round of the Saturday Hivechess Arena._
It was a tough round; glad I made the top 10 in the leaderboard this time with 14 points.
Here's how the final leaderboard looked:
🥇 Manfromspain– 41 points (absolute beast mode!) @poseout87
🥈 stuffings– 35 points
🥉 Queen5layer– 34 points
As usual, let's highlight some of the games that are quite interesting and we could learn from 👇🏼
Todays Game Highlights and Analysis
JUSTOLA VS MASTERSWATCH
We both decided to risk it all and berserk this game. White was playing pretty well until he made a blunder of castling, which left his queen vulnerable. Black used that opportunity to use his knight to secure a rook. Black ended the game with the queen to g7.
Lets watch the gif:

BATTLE OF THE GRANDMASTERS
MANFROM SPAIN VS ODNOOBRAZ_BCM
Both opponents have pretty high ratings. White is rated 2573 and Black 2316 in this game. A battle between two highly rated players caught my attention; I couldn't let my curiosity go unsatisfied.
White is pretty bold to have berserked. I envisaged White making a lot of blunders since he was playing with a highly rated opponent, especially with the time constraint on his side, but he played really well.
It was a tough duel; Black offered a draw, which White accepted, as he was running out of time, or maybe it's because the tournament had only a few seconds left.

JUSTFAVOUR VS THEMADMAN4RMDASOUTH
@justfavour had really terrible pairings. His opponents were pretty strong. Well, 'what can't kill a man makes him stronger,' LOL 😹
Black's alias name and rating, which are a bit intimidating, got me curious about how he got defeated by White. White made a blunder by castling too early, especially with Black's bishop, which could be a threat later in the game. Black has a solid arrangement, but ran out of time, and White brilliantly won the round.
