Dear chess friends!
Since @schamangerbert keeps the Steemchess tournaments on the Steem Chain, why not run on the Hive Chain a separate weekly Blitz chess tournament?
All players from Steemchess are of course welcome, this is not a competition to Steemchess, but an added opportunity to play more chess (one can not play enough chess, right?)!
This logo I made from scratch (using the free Hive wallpaper (can´t find a link now)) but if you have a good idea for a better one, put it in the comments, I would give out 3 Hive Token and 3 PATRIOT Token (worth app. 1 Steem each) to the most convincing design!
Each round is a lichess one hour tournament, so you need a lichess-account in order to participate! Registration is done in no time (you just need a valid email address for verification).

RULES
- Free for players of all skill levels, from newbie to expert!
- Every Friday 20 to 21 GMT is one round, the tournament goes over several rounds
- Time mode for now is 5+0 (so you have 5 minutes per game!), rated, berserking allowed
- The tournament is open (for all, not only Hivers or Steemians)
- 90% of the payouts of my Hive chess-related posts will be added to the price pool and shared among the players who are on Steem or Hive, final decision on the exact mode will be posted later - ideas/suggestions are more than welcome!
- The rules may adapt depending on your feedback, let´s see how it evolves
