Recently, many YouTubers are complaining of having their monetized views from Sept 14-30 go to 0.
After these content creators started creating support tickets, YouTube responded saying that this was a bug
but later changed their answer citing 'invalid traffic' as the reason for the ad revenue loss.

In addition to the full loss of 2 weeks of ad revenue in September, affected users are also complaining of an over 50% loss in cpm revenue.
Since this controversy has started, YouTubers and their audiences have taken to twitter to get answers and accountability. Some have started to band together under the hashtag #YouTubeWageTheft.
